If you mounted the antennas up on your roof, or similar structure and height, are there trees between the potential antennas and your cell tower(s)? Landmasses or buildings?
If not, then you have a "Clear line of sight" and LPDA antennas are generally the lowest cost option for the most bang:

Look for LMR200 for under 20 foot, LMR240 for under 30 foot, LMR400 for up to about 75-100 feet, and LMR600 for longer.
