Allow router config page on port 443 and install SSL cert

Hello,
I have successfully added my router's IP address to the dnsmasq hosts file located at /mnt/userrw/etc/dnsmasq.hosts. My local DNS server has an entry for example.myrouterlogin.net that resolves to the router's IP address. I have allowed port 443 in iptables. The connection is still refused.
I am guessing that whatever webserver is running only on port 80. Has anyone been successful in having it also listen on port 443, and directing it to use a self-signed SSL cert?
Thanks!
