Greetings all, first time poster long time reader, I am looking for a 5G card recommendation for a mini pci express slot and a Linux OS.
I could also use a M.2 adapter but would prefer to limit possible snags with the upgrade.

It would be used in the US on a ATT network
I have been looking at
https://www.sierrawireless.com/iot-modules/5g-modules/
and
https://www.simcom.com/product/SIM8200EA_M2.html
both seem to be only M.2
Also USB is not an option in the case, but a mini pci express to M.2 is an option.

Thanks in advance.

I haven't seen any of the 5G modules released in a mini pcie version. I think you're going to have to go with m.2 and adapter.
Are you going to be running the card in PCI mode or USB mode?

If you're going to run it in PCI mode, I would go with the Sierra.

Why would the Sierra be better ?

It's default is PCI. Otherwise, no reason really.
