Wireless Joint

Hi all, I'm trying to send/receive SMS messages via my router. When I log into the router and look under the Modem menu item, there's a point for SMS messaging. However, I don't seem to receive any sent to my phone number for the router, and when I try to send one when logged in, I get a timeout request failed error. Any ideas/tips on how to do SMS messaging with this router ?

What carrier?

Verizon uses wierd methods for SMS that don't seem to work stock on the routers.
