Wireless Joint

I have 2 Nighthawk M1's. One is unbranded and the other is the AT&T version. The unbranded M1 has ip passthrough options on the dashboard while the AT&T does not. I have used the unbranded M1 and band locked it while connecting to my Nighthawk r7800 router to set DHCP. Can I set IP passthrough on the AT&T version? Would it be useful to connect both M1's and bridge the connections? If so some information or tips would be helpful.

Hmm...I was hoping for an answer to this too, as you can find the
AT&T-branded version used cheaper than the Netgear-branded ones.

According to AT&T's s website, there should be IP pass through
mode available on their version(s). It is described on page 54 of
teh manual:

Enable IP Pass-Through Mode
To turn off the mobile router functionality and assign the network IP address directly to the attached device,
enable IP pass-through.
If you make this change, the attached device restarts using a different driver configuration.
WARNING:
If you enable this feature, WiFi is disabled and you must use a USB cable to
tether the device.
This feature is available to Windows computer users. If you are a Mac user, do not
enable this option because you will be unable to access your device.
Note
To enable IP pass through mode:
1. From a computer that is connected to your network, launch a web browser.
2. Enter http://attwifimanager or http://192.168.1.1.
A login page displays.

3. Enter the administrator login password.
The password is case-sensitive.
The dashboard displays.
4. Select SETTINGS > Setup > Router Setup.

Ip passthrough is available on the AT&T firmware, if its not on yours you may have a very old, perhaps the first build or something custom on yours but you can load the generic firm on it, those .spk's are on the web for free dl
