Why is the WG1608D-M the only router listed as 5G Ready?

Hi, I am very very very very new to all this. Just learned about it earlier today. I was wondering why the WG1608D-M router is the only one listed on The Wireless Haven as 5G ready? Can the 5G modems such as the SW EM9191 and Quectel RM502Q-AE not just be dropped into any modem (with a mini-PCI to M.2 adapter)? [serious]

Thank you for your help.

(also, if you feel like it, thoughts about pros/cons about getting the Mofi5500 EM9191 vs just building one with parts from here? I'm still in the process of comparing the prices).

Its marketing, sort of.

You are correct, you can put a 5G modem into a NEXQ6GO as long as it has updated modem drivers. Even though it was never meant to be used with a 5G modem, it can.

The main deal with the WG1608D-M is that it has an M.2 modem slot (and mpcie) AND 4 cellular antenna connectors. Ready to take the 5G modems out of the box, with no adapters needed.

The other routers need adapters or case mods.
