WE826-T2 and EM7455, not connecting

I'm terribly new so please forgive any mistakes and information left out. I have a WE826-T2 and an EM7455 modem. I'm using a sim card from my company laptop for testing and I was able to get it to come up and connect. It was terribly slow, so I tried to switch it to MBIM mode usning the following:

Code: Select all

at!entercnd="A710"
at!usbcomp=1,1,1009
at!selrat=06
at!custom="IPV6ENABLE",1
at+cgdcont=1,"ipv4v6","vzwinternet"
at!reset
Afterward, the modem will no longer connect. I tried to set it back to QMI mode and nothing has helped. I reflashed my router and started all over again multiple times, to no avail. Here's the modem debug log, please excuse any copy and pasting errors, I tried to catch it as it scrolled through and i'm not sure if I got it all.

I tried resetting the modem multiple times but i have not been able to get it to reset again. My apn is vzwinternet. The modem is seen, however it fails to connect. My sim seems to be ok as when I query it I get the phone number back. If you need any additional information, please let me know.

Thanks,
Mike

I've noticed that the FW is now a verizon FW when it was initially a generic FW.

I would reflash the modem with the latest Generic firmware build.

The modem had the generic FW on it initially, would this make it go back to the Verizon FW? I issued this as part of the troubleshooting guide (https://wirelessjoint.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=14).

at!entercnd="A710"
at!RMARESET=1
at!reset

Can this be done with the 826 router, or do I need some other piece of hardware to accomplish this like the USB to Mini PCI-E adapter on the website.

It is possible if it was a vendor branded modem (i.e., Dell) that was made for a Verizon device.

If is possible to update the modem firmware from within the router if running a Modem Manager build. I have never done it and could offer little advice on exactly how it is done. There is a topic on the forum that does explain how it is done.

To flash using a PC will require a USB to M.2 adapter.
