Hey guys! I have a wg1608 with a cat16 modem installed. I have the viper firmware. I have everything setup correctly but it will only take certain att SIM cards. Is there a certain kind I need? Would it be better to use cricket?

I misread that. They have plans but it’s $120 a month I was trying to cut that in half with an att SIM card.

Ahhh, so you just purchased the router from Viper? I didn't know they sold just routers without SIM plans.

If you want an easy solution, you could take the router to an AT&T store and get the 100GB for $55/mo plan.

They will charge you extra for going over 100GB. If you need a high data plan you will have to look to other options. If you want something easy, you will probably have to purchase a high data plan from a 3rd party reseller like Viper, One Wireless World, InfinteLTE, etc. These plans are usually over $100 per month. They have their pros and cons.
You can also try other routes like purchasing a tablet plan or a phone plan. This will be harder to get to work, and you will be violating the terms of your contract. There are numerous threads on here for AT&T plans and sims.
