Suggested Gear for ATT data plan

Hello everyone , I have decided to pull the trigger and go after the 100gb data plan per month from At&T, and just manage it well and see what I can do as LTE internet from AT&T is my only option.
can anyone recommend any good routers to get for the sim? So many options but I don’t want to over pay for no reason.
Thank you so much for any help!

AT&T does require you to go to one of their stores to buy the prepaid Data plans and sim (means you have to pay a $15 activation fee). According to what I can find on the net they should accept any device that has compatible Bands and is LTE or 5G compliant. However it is possible that AT&T has changed policies about which ones they allow just like Cricket did back in February. Or they may change their policy tomorrow. You just can not tell with these wireless companies.
Other than that take a look at The Wireless Haven (
https://thewirelesshaven.com/) for various build your own possibilities. For prebuilt units Netgear is a good option.

That is hard to say there are pro & con’s to ever step.
Do you like building things or would like a plug and play setup?
It’s good to list your goals & needs
How many user?
Zoom calls??
Gaming??? Etc…
Depending on your needs looking at
$300 to $600 for a setup
Would also get on the StarLink waiting list cost $100
Building you own set would give you more flexibility and a better understanding at the technology
Between the guys at the LTE store And the boys here in the form we can get you up and running
Note band 71 is nice to have if you need T-Mobile in the future

You need a cellular modem to get that LTE. Or your phone. A router would simply allow more than 1 thing to connect up.
Getting super good LTE speed on your phone only matters if you intend to tether or hotspot your phone to either you desktop PC or a router.

Since you are going with AT&T
The MR1100 Night Hawk is worth a look
Pro AT&T sells the unit could get support from them. See what the return policy is if it doesn’t work for you.
Nice Cat 16 modem
4-band carrier aggregation
Unit is portable
https://www.netgear.com/home/mobile-wif ... ts/mr1100/
Con’s
No LAN output
Other carriers hate this unit is black listed
Very hard to set TTL
Antenna connections are
TS-9 type not SMA

Ah okay, didn’t really think it would still be that expensive but I’m all ears for recommendations to what I have to throw money at to get some semi decent lte internet to work on my desktop and PlayStation

This is for a simple 4G set up you could spend a lot more

You may want to try this for a basic setup:
https://thewirelesshaven.com/shop/routers/4g-lte- ... -and-play/
It's plug n play with the ATT ipad plan and has some pretty cool features. It does not have removeable antennas, but can be modded. It has only a cat 4 modem (EC25AF) but is cheap and works plug and play.

Does The Wireless Haven offer assistance with mods/fixing it if you buy from them?

I think you can buy and activate it online here with your own SIM:
https://www.att.com/prepaid/activations/#/activate.html
That didn't work for me because it didn't recognize my Pepwave's IMEI so I had to go to a store but now if I enter my IMEI it does recognize it (at least past the first step) so I think the form has improved. I can vary the last few digits and it still accepts it so it's not just because my specific IMEI is in the system.

Identity updates for the router.
Due to the FCC regulations, the The Wireless Haven store cannot support it, nor do it for the customer.
