So I've had this router for almost a year and haven't had any luck finding someone to help me or show me so I should teach me how to use this router and all of the thousand million settings:-) I love it it's great though I paid $25 a month, for a tablet line through T-Mobile. And with the TTL setting set on 65-64. But since this last update it has been acting really weird and my speech typically range between 20 and 40 megs depending on time of the day. However now it just keeps disconnecting randomly mostly in the evening time saying Lan cable is just not connected. I know there has to be some settings that I don't know about to change to improve the speed. I always use it hardwired oh, but the Wi-Fi is so slow. My second number on my speed test is usually pretty high but I can still tell it's not very fast and it's only broadcasting at 20 not 40 or 80. I'm not even sure LTE is on. When I need is somebody to call me or speak with them have them do a once-over maybe let them take control of my computer and check the settings themselves while I watch. I'm going to post some pictures of just my overview and I am open to anybody who can help me thanks
john

What you have posted is your Router status, such as model and memory, and your Wifi Network information (your router is a local network both wireless and wired but not the Internet). Under Modem tab you will find the cellular Network status. Under miscellaneous you can also enter AT commands like: AT!GSTATUS? for more information on your cellular connection.

Try swapping to MBIM. Your signal strength looks good. Not sure what your SINR is. I prefer MBIM.
For the EC25AF:
then
Give it time and see what changes, but if you want to swap back to QMI (The protocol it uses now)
then

AT commands go here: WebUI menu--> Modem->Miscellaneous->AT Command Terminal
Port Forwarding is under Network->Firewall I believe. I'll have to dig that up. I don't really play with the port forwarding features.

ok I'll check that out. another issue I'm constantly having is in the middle of a game or just randomly it'll pop up and say lan cable disconnected and I'll lose connection. it's never done this before really this last update really screwed some shit up I think. not to mention it's like an unsecure server how do I change that now when I want to go to my router settings in the browser why is it telling me it's dangerous?

Lan cable disconnected? Have you tried a different Ethernet cable and a different lan port on the router? Lan ports and cable can go bad. The routers web UI in the updated versions will give you the unsecured warning. You can ignore it. Does not affect operation of your unit.
It is also possible that the Lan interface (Hardware) on you router is unstable or going bad. Though it is even possible that your game device is the culprit (drivers or port).

I always flash the firmware via the "firmware recovery method" and then reflash it again. Sometimes some odd unexplainable things happen if I don't.
Also the "danger" thing is the new firmware based on openWRT 19x forces the browser to access the webUI in https, which there is not a "valid" SSL cert for. It's an annoyance that should go away after the first few times you tell the browser that it's ok.

It does get annoying if you log in to the router a bunch. Fyi, you can disable the forced https redirection if you so desire. Log in via ssh and modify the following near the top of the file in '/etc/config/uhttpd':
Code: Select all
# Redirect HTTP requests to HTTPS if possible
option redirect_https 0 ; <<-- "0"=disable https redirection / "1"=force redirection
Or you could also add the certification to your computer.
