change IMEI of LB1120 or get a better LTE modem that allows that

Fellas I know that IMEI changes might be illegal in the US and what not.
I am just trying to not run afoul of the provider's terms of service cuz I want to replace
the crappy mifi device they sent me with a solid capable device and add a nice antenna.
I am looking to change the IMEI of a netgear LB1120 that I already have.
If that is not possible, or it's too difficult then I'd be happy to buy another router that
makes IMEI change easy. A UI would be nice but if I have to enter AT commands, I will try my best.
Provider: Sprint/T-Mo if that matters
