I have an unlimited data Tmobile sim (phone) and I was wondering if it’d work in an unlocked hotspot like the MiFi 8000 ? Would I need to do anything?

Not likely, but it will likely work in a LTE gateway router, like a WiFiX WG3526-P with a Quectel EM12G modem.

I've been able to get my Tmo tablet SIM to work fine with a few setups. Ive heard the phone SIMs work easy. The key is a generic firmware in most cases. The MIFI8000 and other hotspot devices use branded firmware and generally require the branded SIM. But since the two services (SPrint/Tmo) have merged it MIGHT work. Worth a try if you have one laying around.

Not sure what your asking.

It is the plan. There are multiple plan options, and customers can choose the plan according to their own situation.

Should work.

Data usage however will count towards hotspot / tether data on the plan. If you can mangle the ttl to 65 (possibly 64 or less depending on the hops out) it can then count towards the "unlimited" phone data.
