I am trying out an AT&T unlimited SIM on my WG3526 and it is a lot slower than my mofi using the same sim. The wG3526 is only getting maybe 11Mb and the mofi is well over 25. I also noticed that even with at!selrat=06 it keeps going back to WCDMA.

Here is the at!GStatus? output

Code: Select all

!GSTATUS:
Current Time: 4481 Temperature: 41
Reset Counter: 9 Mode: ONLINE
System mode: WCDMA PS state: Attached
WCDMA band: WCDMA 850
WCDMA channel: 4384
MM (CS) state: IDLE NORMAL SERVICE

WCDMA L1 state:L1M_DCH LAC: 2AEF (10991)
RRC state: CELL_DCH UTRAN Cell ID: 0B8E19D4 (193862100)
RxM RSSI C0: -56 RxD RSSI C0: ---
RxM RSSI C1: --- RxD RSSI C1: ---

and the Signal info

Code: Select all

Network : HSPA+
CSQ :29
Signal Strength :93%
RSSI :-55 dBm
ECIO :-9 dB
RSCP :-65 dBm

Any ideas are appreciated.

what is an AT&T unlimited SIM?

Is the WG3526 in the same physical location as the Mofi?

You have something that is not configured correctly. Follow the same logic in this TOPIC

I read that thread and ran through all of the options in it (all commands returned ok or expected values). I am not sure what “The resolution was provisioning the SIM with a different service provider (which eliminated the SIM as the problem). “ means.

I am going to try reflashing the router (doubt that will fix it, but why not try right).

I think I narrowed it down to the SIM. If I swap that SIM into the MOFI I get the same result. I assumed it was the configuration since I had re-done it after the switch from the t-mobile SIM. I did notice that I cannot do a RMARESET anymore after a firmware update on the modem (it just disconnects the modem)

The other member's SIM card and plan was not active even though the third party AT&T provider suggested otherwise.

What modem are you using? And what firmware did you use to update the modem?

You may need to do a hard reboot on the router to once again connect with the modem.

Important note to anyone using an ipad plan. If you generate an IMEI make sure it has LTE and not just WCDMA (some of them from certain sites will not include support for the LTE networks). I generated a new one and made sure it included LTE support and all is working now.

Is there a way to check whether or not it's LTE or WCDMA?
