Port Forwarding Question (Calyx service with MIFI 8000)

Is there anyway to open ports with Calyx's service? I have the MIFI 8000 and it seems nothing works. Is it because there is no static IP? Is there a way to get one, or to workaround it?

What do you mean by "nothing works"?

What are you trying to accomplish?

I can't forward any ports as per the title.

You can't add anything into the MIFI 8000 port forwarding section because it says the IP is "not a valid IP address," which I assume is because they give you a non-dedicated IP. What I was wondering was if there was a workaround, because I need to open a port for torrents.

Prob be easier to build your own router and modem setup to do this. We do it all the time.

The "hotspot" devices are very limited.

True port forwarding I think works best with a static IP. Sprint allows this for very cheap, but I'm not sure it can be requested on a Calyx/MobileConnect/PCsForPeople account.

Dang sure don't want to tell them your running torrents ;)

To answer directly on the MIFI8000. I personally don't know and haven't tried to port forward with it.

I'd be careful doing a lot of torrents. You'll likely get flagged and account killed. This is all non-profit stuff, they don't need anyone :D

Torrents aren't illegal them self, you know. I use them for sharing self created content.

I also need the ports opened for a game as well.
