USB Port from disk share to Tether?

Hi All,
I am looking at routers and wish to tether a phone to it, I am seeing the WG3526 can do this but the wifi is reported as being a bit flakey ... but since I am still "shopping" wondering what my other options are
My question is for routers, 16meg, that are supported by goldenorb firmware does the firmware allow the USB port to be used as a tethering port for a phone when the router native function does not support anything other than file sharing?
