I am new to this board and want to thank everyone ahead of time for helping with my problem.

I have been using a MOFI4500-4GXeLTE-V2 for over 3 years now with an AT&T unlimited account.
I live out in the sticks and to boost my sign I added some paddle antennas it was enough to give me 1 bar and get me online.

Connected Using: GOBI7455
Interface: eth1
Device Control Port: /dev/ttyUSB2
Manufacturer: Sierra Wireless
Module IMEI: 359072060130263
Module Serial: LQ616203470110
Module Revision: SWI9X30C_02.08.02.00 r5428 CARMD-EV-FRMWR2 2016/01/06 20:38:53
Firmware: GENERIC
Model: MC7455
APN: broadband
Registered on Network: Yes
Operational Mode: LTE
Band: B4 LTE bw: 10 MHz (1700 Mhz)
Carrier Aggregation: INACTIVE LTE Scell band:B4
Signal Strength: -121 (dBm) (Very Poor or No Connection)
Signal Quality: -13.4
Diversity Signal Strength: -120 (dBm)

this info has not changed exept for a couple of dBm up or down like it has always been.

this was enough to give me about 1 mbps up and around 8 down,
A couple days ago I started to experience extreme speed problems sometimes speedtest.net would report slow speed in the single digit kbps when I tried fast.com it even reported 0.0kbps.Without changing anything my speeds would suddenly jump up to double digit Mbps at one point I was getting 29.3 Mbps accounrding to both fast.com and speedtest.net.At first I thought my mofi was broke so I went to a friends house that is closer to the tower and I had no problem getting 15.3Mpbs constant I was able to downloaded a big windows update without a problem.
Does anyone have an idea what part of my settup needs fixing

It may be you need better or an outdoor antenna setup. However it also could be AT&T and their push to stop people using unlimited accounts (see posts regarding canceled iPad plans). If they are de-prioritizing you it could explain your inconsistent speeds and connection.

ETA: BTW can you set a TTL value (65 or 64) on your router? Might not help but it does not cost anything to try if you do not have one set.

An outdoor mimo flat panel antenna definitely couldn't hurt here, maybe even a parabolic grid.. Your signal is on the border of barely usable and non-existant.

So are you sure that you always used band 4. My parents used to use band 2 on AT&T. Then one day it just disappeared and was stuck with band 4. Band 4 is harder to get and your signal strength pretty bad.
Refer to this chart here.

I always use band 4 one time after a storm 4 didn't show up so I moved the mofi and used 12/17.
2 doesn't even show up here.
