I use the EC25-AF LTE modem and was wondering:

1. Is "tower locking" (where I force the modem to connect specifically to one tower - which might be further away than one "close") something that can really be done?
2. If so, how could I configure the EC25-AF LTE modem to do so? Or where should I start looking for that information?

TBH, after reading hundreds of pages on this excellent forum, it seems like without modifying the modem's firmware itself, the only (technical) way to "lock towers" is to use directional antennas, in an attempt to persuade the modem's firmware to lock to the tower of our choice!

Look up the command AT+QNWLOCK

I'm about to fall out to ed. I'll try to dig up more info for you. I'm not certain the EC25AF supports this command. Try it by entering it in the AT command terminal with only a ? at the end, like AT+QNWLOCK? or AT+QNWLOCK=?
