PP data service functional after swap of sym(frum nineteen-dolla cheepe) to hawtspawt, but
cannot receive txt to hawtspawt in order to add 'phone' to acct. at PP.

made call from fone, before sym swap. <shrug>

nor does data usage show on the spawt. (muy importante to watch for Sixtee giggabite limit)

safe to swap sym back to fone? recv txt, then swap back again?

Yes, you should be able to swap it back and forth between the phone and router, PP is not too picky about it.
