Hi all,
I see there are several versions of the GoldenORb. I'm looking to replace the Mikrotik ROSv6 on their LHGR system as it does not support the LM940 very well. MBIM/ECM is not really working well.
What would be the proper GO version to attempt for the cat12 LM940?

You can also use other Quectel models like the EM12/EM20, Sierra EM7511/7565, or Telit LM940/LM960.
Just be careful with laptop branded versions especially Telit modems, they tend to be firmware locked and a pain to work with. Usually the price reflects which version it is, the cheaper ones are branded/locked, while the more expensive ones are unbranded/unlocked. Make sure to ask the seller.
Here's all you need to get started.
Mobile data service

Antennas
At first you can try your service with the "stubby" antennas which comes with the router, and if you'd like to improve your signal/speed, you may want to get a pair of high gain external antennas.

And finally, to make it all work together, you need to flash the router with OpenWRT firmware.

Thanks Bill. Mine is not locked. It has several firmwares"built" in and those are changible via AT commands (for each carrier)
I will start reading. If any questions, I will post here and I will update the results.
