Hello,
I moved to a rural area last week, looked into LTE internet options, and eventually found The Wireless Haven. Like a lot of people, I went into this blindly, did a bit of research, and purchased the EC25-AF and NEXQ6GO-U.
This setup *works*. It does, but it lacks the same speed as my phone due to not having carrier aggregation. (At least I think that's the only reason why it's not as fast)
What would be the easiest way to upgrade my setup while still keeping what parts I have?
I know I purchased the NEXQ6GO-U and that lacks the M.2 slot that many of the CAT12+ modems use.
Would this setup help me convert over to a newer modem?

Re: Upgrading my setup (EC25-AF/NEXQ6GO)
Ok, so first things first.
Your phone is the latest in speedy powerful modems with tuned little antennas, likely 4. The NEXQ6GO-U is a great little unit, but it is dated with basic antennas and and the ec25af is an older modem with no carrier aggregation capability. You cant compare the two. BUT you CAN use the phone to check what is possible for you!
Next.
I think the Quectel EM12 would be your best bet in that router, you chose well. Almost too much modem, but its a great modem. You will need EXACTLY what you linked and then maybe an upgraded power supply [ https://thewirelesshaven.com/shop/power-adapter/1 ... ter-2-1mm/ ] to ensure that modem can fully CA without dropping out.
That setup will get you a max speed of about 85-90 Mbps, if the tower can give it. If you upgraded to the WG3526 router, and kept that modem, its possible to get over 300Mbps, but that is HUGELY cell tower dependent, as we all have different radios serving our areas across the nation.
The only other thing would be upgraded antennas. thewirelesshaven.com can hook it up there too. Make sure you choose the 4G LTE ones though, instead of the wifi ones.
