EM 7455 and NEXG H721 router

Hello all,
I have a EM 7455 and NEXG H721 router that I purchased from The Wireless Haven the day it came out. I have it setup up on a verizon account. My speed is right around 30 down. I am happy with that for the moment.

The problem I have is when I try to route the Lan connection through my unifi usg it does not allow internet access. I have changed the ip for the H721 to 192.168.1.254. If i disconnect from the USG and directly connect I get all of the internet I want.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to correct this?

Did you turn off dhcp on the h721?

Yes I have. That is why it is confusing me. If i bypass and just plug straight into it I have internet.

Thats odd, unless you also have your pc set to a static ip address, it shouldnt be able to communicate at all with dhcp turned off.

Do you have your h721 plugged into, and setup, as/at WAN on the usg? As is always the case for me, its likely a stupid simple setting.

I have the H721 plugged into the USG and have turned on the WAN and also the WAN2 ports. It will not even work if I setup a failover on the USG

Making sure I understand.....

If you plug in a PC to a LAN port on the H721, you have internet access.

If you plug the USG into it, and plug your pc into the USG, you do not have internet access on your PC.

This sounds like a settings problem on the USG. I would turn off the static IP settings on your pc when testing, too.

I believe I have narrowed it down to the h721. It no longer allows internet access. I have tried different ports, reset the router, and tried wifi from it. I have taken the sim card and can access internet using my cradlepoint 650. I am going to now have to research how to upgrade the modem firmware in the router.

I am really using this for the modem and lan ports.
