MC400LPE-ARC - How to Configure for Verizon?
I ordered the MRB1400LPE V2 with the MC400LPE-ARC (CAT3) multi-carrier modem, I did not see the tell me if you're using a carrier besides AT&T, I just saw multi-carrier. That, being said I need to configure one SIM slot for Verizon and one for AT&T, any suggestions, links, tutorials?

Unfortunately, this is not possible with the MC400LPE modem. It does not allow mismatching SIM Cards--both SIM cards must be for the same carrier.

I'm also trying to configure mine for verizon.
https://thewirelesshaven.com/shop/routers/cradlep ... 400lpe-v2/
It says it handles verizon then buried in the description below it to specify in a note.

So my solution is to purchase an additional MC400LPE modem configured for Verizon and swap them out as signals determine?JimHelms wrote: Sun Dec 08, 2019 11:11 am Unfortunately, this is not possible with the MC400LPE modem. Is the MC400LP6 compatible with the MBR1400LPE V2 and does it provide for two carriers or improve performance?

The MC400LPE modem is multi-carrier but will only accommodate a single carrier at any one time—since the modem can only hold a single carrier firmware. As such, failback can only be obtained by using a second SIM card of the same carrier. You can read more about the MC400LPE here: https://thewirelesshaven.com/shop/modems/cradlepo ... -mc400lpe/
To implement failback to a different carrier requires a higher category modem. The MC400LP6 which is also multi-carrier but holds 4 different carrier’s firmware and auto-switches to whatever firmware matches the first and/or second SIM card. You can read more on the MC400LP6 here: https://thewirelesshaven.com/shop/modems/cradlepo ... -mc400lp6/
While not officially supported, the MC400LP6 will work in the MBR1400V2. Note that the failover is not instantaneous (as one would like), as it takes a minute or two for the firmware to auto-switch from one carrier to the next. This delay is true for all auto-switching modems, regardless of the router being used.
In order to have near instantaneous failover from one carrier to another, generally requires dual modems, whether or not they implement auto-switching / manual switching firmware.
