Z800AX 5G Router
Hello All,
I have a new ZBT Z800AX router, factory-installed OpenWRT, and an internal Quectel RM502q-AE modem. It is running Chaos Calmer 15.05.1
WiFi configured, working correctly. LAN ports working correctly. The modem shows up under Status > Overview. It has good signal strength, SIM status is "Ready" and the ISP correctly shows "Verizon."
However, there is no access to the internet.
Under MWAN Status - Diagnostics there's an option to ping the default gateway. The message returned is "No gateway for interface 4G found."
Elsewhere in the OpenWRT interfaceI have found notices saying "Interface 4G Status Disabled."
I cannot find where a user can enter "AT" commands in a terminal window, so I can't do much more troubleshooting.
Something is missing or configured wrong. I would appreciate any suggestions the community may have.
Thanks, Mark

Re: Z800AX 5G Router
I have one the way. I plan on placing the rm520n-gl under the hood. I took a blind plung buy really. Not sure what board its running at all. 1602, 1608 who knows. But, anyone have a picture of the inside of the router? Also, has anyone used the USB port with a modem sled and a 5g modem? Thanks in advance

Nice specifications but the blue panel puts me off. If something isn't black and metal I don't buy it. It's a peculiarity of mine.

Re: Z800AX 5G Router
Hey new to the board, but made an account to answer this question. It is completely different board. I am currently purchasing this router with the RM510q-gl module, and I have spec sheet if you would like it? The 1608 runs on Mediatek MT7621A, and this one runs on a Qualcomm IPQ8072A.yoyo7089 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 11, 2023 2:11 am I have one the way. I plan on placing the rm520n-gl under the hood. Re: Z800AX 5G Router
I have the ZBT-Z6001AX with the same firmware I haven't used my modem in it yet but I think the Web CMD under the System tab would be most likely.
I have an external USB adapter which allows me to program the modem from Linux via Terminal. You could do that then fit it into your router.

My chip is IPQ6000 and it is not supported by OpenWRT yet, so Rooter cannot either, that's probably the same for your chip.

Check, I'm testing the 520GL but usually, I have 502AE
