New poster here.. I am trying to figure out how to get this POS to recognize and flash the module firmware files.. Im on the latest router firmware 4.2.7 and have a module update page available.. but it claims there is no firmware in the file.
Flashing started
No Flash Files Found
Any help would be much appreciated!
I have several update files from Sierra WIreless. Trying to solve a mobility issue when moving between regions.
presently-
preferred fw version: 01.07.19.00
preferred carrier name: GENERIC
preferred config name: GENERIC_016.010_000
automatic module firmware flasher does not show any updates..

Re: MOFI5500 EM9191 Module Flash Help
I pull the modem to flash it. You can do this with an adapter that will take the EM919x7690 modules, and a usb cable extension so you don't have to remove the antenna cables.
I have never messed with the MOFI modem updater. I actually didn't know they had it built in. lol. I need to fire mine up more often I guess.

Re: MOFI5500 EM9191 Module Flash Help
Thank you Didneywhorl!
MOFI tech support got back to me and gave me a detailed how to..
From their email-
"Best to first install 4.2.7std or later
https://mofinetwork.com/mofi5500_downloads/
After you have this on, go to system then factory default then perform reset
To do this, go to system then manually flash firmware
1. Save the provided module firmware to your pc
do not unzip this, just save to your pc
2. Take the sim card out of the router
3. Log into the router, go to #1 module update on the far both left
Select the manual option and then follow the steps to do the update the module
After this is done, it should bring the module firmware to the current one that we are sending out
After that is done, go to system then factory default then perform reset
After that is done, go to mofi internal modem
Then click on the configuration tab
On the bottom of that page, press the button to reset the module"
The email did not specify at what point to put the SIM card back in but I did it after the final reset.
What module firmware are you running now? The MOFI one is 3.04.03 generic. It is the 2 firmware files and a third file named GENERIC with the MD5 hashes of each of the other files. SW03_04_03_00_REV3.tar.gz

Re: MOFI5500 EM9191 Module Flash Help
FW versions S03.09.03.00-001, S03.09.06.00-001, and S03.09.11.00-001.
Each with their own latest versions of their associated latest PRI images.
03.09.11.00-001 being the latest for Generic PRI version 030.044_000

may I ask you if you are using the firmware available on Sierra website such as this one (SWIX55C_03.09.06.00-001_GENERIC_030.038_000.zip) because when I am following your method still getting the same error - no flash file
