All,
I have been having issues with my LM960A18 modem 'disappearing' every few hours in my WG1608, 'no modem present' kind of messages on the status page. Figuring the first thing people would ask it if I have updated goldenorb I tried that. The router came from LTEFix with GoldenOrb_2021-09-13, which when I downloaded the latest one it was dated 2021-08-15 which is older. So I went to the autobuild section and downloaded 2022-04-20.
Now the modem is detected on the Modem status page, but Modem/Sim, Signal Information, Cell Information, are all blank. And no internet still.
Can anyone confirm if I have the right firmware and if not which should I load back on? I cant find the version that was installed to download to revert to either.
Model Zbtlink ZBT-WG1608 (16M)
Architecture MediaTek MT7621 ver:1 eco:3
Firmware Version GoldenOrb_2022-04-20 ( OpenWrt 21.02-SNAPSHOT )
Kernel Version 5.4.158
Thank you
WG1608 latest firmware?

Re: WG1608 latest firmware?
Might try the following:
Under system->startup->local startup enter the below line :
<VID> and <PID> are the vendor and product ID of your modem. I don't have one handy to look it up but the modem->debug section should show it if it shows there. four digit numbers.
The Telit VID should be 1BC7 based on search: https://devicehunt.com/all-usb-vendors
Under system->startup->local startup enter the below line :
Code: Select all
echo <VID> <PID> >/sys/bus/usb-serial/drivers/option1/new_id
The Telit VID should be 1BC7 based on search: https://devicehunt.com/all-usb-vendors
