Modem Present/not connected

Post by kchold »

Installed MC7455 in WE826t2 and flashed Goldenorb GO2018 11-3 firmware. In ROOter under Modem I am getting a message Modem present/not connected. Does this mean the modem is not connecting to the router or to a cell tower?

Please help

This means the modem is present (detected by GoldenOrb) but is not connecting to the network.

What carrier and plan are you using?

I am using Xfinity mobile cell sim just to test hardware. APN I set at COMCAST.RSLR.VZ.WENTP. Shouldn't the

modem connect to the router even without a sim card?

The MODEM PRESENT means the router is connected to the modem. The NOT CONNECTED means the modem is not connected to the cellular network.

The modem can never connect to the network without an active SIM card.
