Re: Antenna's picking up signal from rear?
Great to hear that! I don't see anything obviously wrong now.
What kind of speeds are you getting now?
On average 15 up and down. I've seen a few spikes with the download in the 30's. Compared to where I was, it's night and day mainly because I was lucky to ever see 1mb upload (most the time 1 ...

Re: Antenna's picking up signal from rear?
Great news! So, I bypassed the longs runs from the roof to my network closet by plugging short leads directly into the antenna's as previously mentioned. The results were instantly better:

Re: Antenna's picking up signal from rear?
@swwifty it looks like you have me going in the right direction...
The main was connected, but I went ahead and swapped the main and aux to see if the RSRP followed. Sure enough, it followed. Here are the stats connected back to my roof antenna feeds.

Re: Antenna's picking up signal from rear?
Thought of something else... My runs are 50ft of LMR400 from the roof to my network closet. Is it possible the w826-T2 is having an issue powering over that distance?

Re: Antenna's picking up signal from rear?
I have re-aimed the antenna. I've spent around 4 hours making the slightest adjustments to find the best result and nothing seems reliable. I've never had more than 10mbps down and 4mbps up at my house prior, but I've gotten these antenna's positioned a couple times to where I'm getting 35 down and ...

Re: Antenna's picking up signal from rear?
Thanks Jim. It's looking like I should have went with my gut and gotten onni antenna's. The normal antenna's that came with the router are doing better 2 floors down than these are on the roof. I'm guessing I'm catching multipathing due to non sufficient LOS.

Antenna's picking up signal from rear?
Hello,
I recently installed these antenna's: https://thewirelesshaven.com/shop/antennas/4g-lte-antennas/directional-panel/700-2700mhz-15dbi-4g-lte-directional-antenna/
I'm using a w826t router with ATT (same as my cell phone service).
It seems that the tower I'm picking up is the one directly ...

Re: WE826-T2 router
Do you plan on having the new antennas outside? It might be difficult to use them otherwise, as they are directional. I can pick up signals inside with mine, but they are much weaker than outside.
Yeah, definitely plan on roof mounting them. For fun and to make my wife question me... I dropped ...

Re: WE826-T2 router
Those are the antennas I'm using too. Good antennas.
What is your signal quality with your current antennas? Are they outside the house or inside?
Inside with my current antennas (paddles from a cradlepoint I used to have), I'm getting between -120 & -124 RSRP, -10 RSRQ, and -80 RSSI.
Weird ...

Re: WE826-T2 router
Which modem are each of you using? An MC7455, for instance, won't use as much power as an EM7565. Maybe a 2a adapter is okay for the MC7455, but a 2.5a needed for the EM7565. Just speaking in theory here.
I'm using the MC7455 and did verify I have the 2A adapter. I believe my issue may be more ...

Re: WE826-T2 router
I won't speak for @masondw, but I'm certain mine is the updated 2a. I'll verify tonight. I also ordered a set of external antennas which should be here late this week. Once I rule out my weak signal being the stability issue the power angle is definitely a possible concern.

Re: WE826-T2 router
I'm experiencing the same except with AT&T. I've updated the firmware and have repeated the setup tutorial several times which seems to solve the problem for a couple of days only. I assumed it was service related until I swapped our cell phone service to AT&T as well. The phones (Pixel 3 and Pixel ...
