Re: Help a Noob - Build a device to bypass Visible Hotspot Throttle
Is it a custom firmware I would have to install on the Mifi? I could get by without ethernet if I saved some $$$.

Help a Noob - Build a device to bypass Visible Hotspot Throttle
Hello,
Sorry if this has been answered before in other ways, but I’m not as tech savvy as I used to think I am. Currently have a visible wireless sim in a 8800l as our main source of internet, due to no other options. Looking to get passed the 5mb cap on speeds. Verizon is lightning fast in our ...

Use Verizon iPhone XR as hotspot (non hotspot plan)
Hello.
Is there any way to do so, with a wired or wireless hotspot? Basically, my verizon unlimited plan does not include any hotspot data. Do I need to just stop being cheap and pay $10 more a month, or is there a way to bypass without verizon knowing?
Thanks in advance!

ATT Fixed Wireless
Anyone using this service? What kind of speeds do you get. Our ATT cell phone gets about 100 down and 25 up. Is there a speed cap on it, as it is only advertised of speeds UP TO 25 down and 1 up.
Thanks.
Thanks.

M1 Nighthawk on Tablet plan?
Greetings
Recently moved to a place we can only get DSL 18/1 internet. Decided to get a $20 unlimited iPad plan off eBay. Basically they give you An IMEI to use and then you just out the activated sim in your hotspot (in my case an M1 Nighthawk). I would prefer to do it “more legally” by just using ...

Re: How much will an antenna improve signal
Well so far I have decided to hold out. I saw your post comparing all the different antenna strengths, and now I am holding out for two of these:

If only this site would get them back in stock

Would this antenna work as well?

Just noticed it was in stock and sometimes I’m a little impatient...

Re: How much will an antenna improve signal
Yeah where I live LTE or satellite internet is my only option, and satellite charges by the GB. The stronger/more reliable I can get my LTE signal, the better.
So on the bandwidth, if I did get an antenna and pointed at a tower with different bands, such as the one with band 2, there is a chance ...

Re: How much will an antenna improve signal
Thanks, Swwifty. I appreciate all the information. Looks like the store only has one of those antennas in stock, but when more are in stock I plan on ordering a set with all adapters/cables.
Looks like you spent a good amount of time getting your setup together. If I could pull off downloads in ...

Re: How much will an antenna improve signal
Well good to know it most likely isn't a range issue then. Using Cell mapper, it does look like there are several towers within a 2-4 mile radius (Can't personally tell the distance from the map, but just based off how far the drives are to these locations I assume this range). I attached a picture ...

Hi swwifty. Thank you for the quick reply.
Currently I am using the nighthawk straight out of the box with no after market antennas. Just sitting on the ledge in front of our south facing window. Tried a few different windows on different sides of the house but the south seems to have the best ...

How much will an antenna improve signal
Hello.
I am new to the forum. I have seen a lot of good discussion, so I decided to pop in with my own question. Currently we are using an AT&T Nighthawk hotspot with an unlimited data plan. Verizon and AT&T get 2 bars of signal at our house, so we went with AT&T as they had a cheaper unlimited ...
