mr6150 firmware
Is there a version of the mr6150 firmware out that bandlocking actually works? (i dont mind using the fdt process to load it if need be )
The normal telnet process to create band lock slots works fine on mr1100, mr5100. mr5200, mr6400 (with extra reboots and some weirdness about preventing a ...

Re: prevent Mr5100 from updating firmware
this is what I have working on mine right now until i can sort out some of the other things suggested in this thread. I have this run on startup every time. I did have iptables blocks as well but given the IPs could change and i wasn't comfortable blocking all outbound 80/443 in aggerate if fell ...

Re: prevent Mr5100 from updating firmware
Both of mine are unlocked. one via ATT the other i had to use bigunlocker
When the sim was put it and the unlock code entered, each one auto identified the network as the proper carrier (Sprint on one, T-Mobile on the other) It populated a ton of APNs related to the appropriate carrier. One got a ...

Re: prevent Mr5100 from updating firmware
this is interesting... i would never have though those would be baked into the APNs like that. The last devices i messed with where franklin t9s and FOTA was just a service that runs that you could disable but you could also change the URL or simply block the DNS query for it.

prevent Mr5100 from updating firmware
Is there a known way on the MR5100 to prevent the firmware from updating?. There seems to be allot more info about the M1s vs the M5s on this stuff.
I read a few places that the M1s don't do a full firmware load when they update - not sure if the M5s are the same or not. I am running 2 of these in ...

Re: mr5100 init scripts
it seems it uses services vs the normal /etc/rcX.d symlinks. I was able call my script from /etc/init/early_init.sh and time it to run when i needed it to

mr5100 init scripts
I have been successful with other devices get useful scripts to run on boot of the devices by either sym links in the rcX.d folders, cron or other similar methods.
I cannot seem to find a method that works on these.
has anyone done this?

enable root telnet on MR5100
I have been trying to enable root telnet on an mr5100.
These are the commands I have been trying. They are all accepted but telnet on port 23 still does not work regardless if i test it over USB or ethernet
AT!OPENLOCK?
AT!OPENLOCK="code from py script"
AT!SETCND="mypw"
AT!TELEN=1 - enable ...

Unlock MR5100
Is there a process to carrier unlock a mr5100? I have one that is carrier locked. I was able to repair the IMEI without issue but its still carrier locked. All I have found looking around is doing it via ATT (which didn't work for me - this was an ebay item) or via one of the paid unlock services.
