Re: T77W968 DW5821e and T-Mobile One/Magenta plan, not compatible?

But my way of getting that modem to work was to flash in between each iteration of the firmware and find the one that worked pretty much.

Any chance you know which firmware you flashed that worked and have a copy of the exe? I have a few of these modules that are locked by Dell and I believe ...

Re: Fibocom L860-GL Antenna setup

Just an update. ROOter/GO now fully supports the L860-GL module in NCM mode. Excellent low cost modem now.

I have an EM20G and a EM12G I’d sell. Do you have a preference?

Re: Fibocom L860-GL Antenna setup

Hey, that is great news. Least there is hope for good experiment.

I see the "NCM" in Windows device manger under others so that makes sense.

"Whirlpool ROOter forums". Not being lazy, just have not seen the link you speak of. Searched many times about L860-Gl and most likely not using right term ...

Re: Fibocom L860-GL Antenna setup

Did you ever get the modem to connect via PC? Interested in your progress :)

I do have a bit of an update. I’ve been unsuccessful with Windows or ROOter, but I did get it to connect via ModemManager. It uses an NCM protocol to connect instead of MBIM or QMI, but it works. I’ve read this card Is ...

Re: Fibocom L860-GL Antenna setup

I actually started that discussion over at WP :)

I did use a Y cable to confirm it’s not power. I’ve seen computers reject modems that aren’t whitelisted, but a modem rejecting the computer is an interesting thought...

Re: Fibocom L860-GL Antenna setup

For more manual control, try mounting it into an external M.2 to USB enclosure, connect it directly to a pc in order to be able to test it a little easier. Once you get it working on a pc, it's probably better to just tether it to a router via USB rather than mounting it internally for greater ...

Re: Fibocom L860-GL Antenna setup

I have one. Really didn’t have good luck getting it working. There are about 15 USB modes selectable via an AT command, but none seem allow the modem to connect. I did find a few with MBIM, but the modem would disconnect completely while trying to connect.

Later firmwares also removed the USB mode ...

Re: Modem Disconnecting

So I have been having a very similar issue with my EM7455 (running latest Generic firmware) in an external USB enclosure connected to a Raspberry Pi 3 B+ (latest Rooter GoldenOrb firmware) running Sprint. My disconnects were happening about every 5-10 minutes or so.

I believe I have narrowed the ...

Re: MC7455 Sprint disconnects in r00ter

Just a thought, but have you tried using a Y cable or a USB hub capable of providing more power than your typical USB2.0/3.0 port? If power is the issue, I would think this would help.

Sprint B41 is the only band in the US that I know of that uses TDD (Time Division Duplex) instead of the typical ...
