Re: Add a second internal router behind my NEXQ6GO-U
I've got 4 LTE routers/modems connect to a TP-Link quad link router, it has 4 WAN ports. So basically from your LTE router a cable from LAN to the fixed router WAN. You will need to setup your fixed router to be a access point or a router/switch.

I'm running the "beta" firmware on the EM160R without issues now coming up on a week. Before it would drop/timeout every few hours or so.

Re: Changing TTL with a Scheduled Task
If you build this task, how do you know what to set the TTL to? Is there really a reliable pattern like "after one hour set it to 66, next hour 67 etc? I thought it was kind of random. Maybe you were going to try a selection of them and pick the best speed. That sounds challenging to say the least ...

Re: EM12-G: MIMO vs CA
MiMo for LTE is using two or more antennas to analyze the same signal. When a signal is transmitted you end up with what is called multi-pathing in other words the same signal but has been reflected off of objects. So with MiMo it can detect multi-pathing and choose which antenna or both at any ...

Re: Visible 5Mbps Throttle workarounds
It seems as so Visible is now tracking connections over VPN. I've got my router/EM12 with a Visible SIM setup. Without throttling I get 20+, when throttled 5Mbps as most have noted and also in my previous posts. So I setup an external VPN with CyberGhost. On my Verizon SIM I get 20 minus a bit over ...

Visible 5Mbps Throttle workarounds
After weeks of trying just about everything under the sun I'd made an observation today. Just by simply changing the TTL from 64 to 65 or 65 to 64 and restarting the firewall you get a few hours of unthrottled bandwidth.
So what if we created a script that ran every hour and did just that. On the ...

Re: OPENVPN forward on a NEXQ6GO
I am interested in this. Is the free account capable of occasionally linking into to a remote LTE network to run (e.g.) RealVNC on a LTE attached Windows desktop, like OpenVPN provides? If the answer is yes, using RPi3 with GO as my main router, can it be added to the Pi3 or should I upgrade to a ...

The reason for this antenna array. 3 pairs of crossed polarized. Each pair going to a LTE router. This is 8 miles from the tower over two ridges heavily forested in the Cascade mountains .

Do you need 5g WiFi? Are you going to use your own WiFi home router or a mesh network? If you don't need 5g or are going to use your own home router/mesh then the NEXQ6GO The Wireless Haven works great.

Re: LTE Provider options for Home Internet
Hi all,
I've been using Visible for a while with my EM7565 setup, but lately I've been getting throttled to 5mbit pretty consistently. Couple that with high pings and significant streaming throttling and I'm looking for a new LTE option.
What's everyone using these days for a reliable, decently ...

Re: OPENVPN forward on a NEXQ6GO
Found the root of the issue. It's the cell provider, they block all inbound unless you have a business plan/line. So am looking at reverse tunneling to gain remote access to my LTE network. Am going to setup a RPi server running TunnelIn and use their service. I'll report back either way.

Re: Noob - lt500 with visible
With Visible and others you need to activate the SIM first before placing in the LTE router. It needs to be activated in a phone, make a call and txt, do a bit of data via browsing etc. Once you've done that and verified the SIM is working in a phone you can move over to the LTE router. Once in the ...

Looks like time to invest in a LTE Router. You can get a Visible account for $25 a month. Or add another line to your Verizon account. You don't need a special data plan, just an unlimited cell plan. When setup right "TTL" your not using hot-spot so no throttling.

Re: dBm and download speed aren't matching up
Only real way to minimize noise is with a MIMO antenna setup, which boosters do not support. All LTE routers require a SIM card in the modem. As I pointed out in one of my previous posts I was at the same point as you, nosey signal and poor booster performance. So I switched over to using a LTE ...

Re: dBm and download speed aren't matching up
I've got both Visible and Verizon each with there own router and same antenna setup. Only difference is latency is double on Visible vs Verizon with is about 25ms. Also both will throttle your hot-spot connections vs speed test directly from your phone. I would try a less directional antenna on your ...

Re: Better phone speed test than laptop
Sounds like your TTL may not be set right with your NEXQ60G router. Most cell providers uses the TTL to determine if the device connected is via a hotspot and as such will throttle. I had a similar issue, had done a firmware upgrade with full reset and forgot to re-setup my TTL on the router in the ...

Sorry I didn't see that you are using your cell as a hotspot and the booster with the parabolic. Others have already posted that a "booster" does just that noise and all. In fact a booster can be worse than nothing at all because of this. Also a booster does not have the ability to use MIMO antenna ...

Thanks, I've looked around on ModemsAndMen but nothing really for answers. I've also looked around on OpenWRT which I used to know inside and out many years ago. I scaled back my testing to just getting ICMP (ping) to work from an external IP.

More info. As a test I've added ICMP (Ping) to the firewall exceptions for the WAN->LAN and still not getting through. So I guess it's my lack of understanding on setting up this firewall. Or Verizon blocks all in-bound traffic.
