After failing with ATT, it looks like I wrote off verizon too soon. I was able to do a simple site survey by band locking my router one-band-at-a-time. Here are all the bands I can receive:
band 4 mcc 311 mnc 480 rsrp -120 rsrq -14 rssi -89
band 5 mcc 311 mnc 480 rsrp -107 rsrq -6 rssi -87

Re: Visible 5Mbps Throttle workarounds
Can you provide traceroutes through CyberGhost with Verizon and Visible. Comparison might yield some info on whether Visible is blacklisting/throttling public VPNs or if it is just very slow transit between Visible and Cyberghost.

Of course netgear would be the most popular option. A company that embeds telemetry/spyware in their routers.MattB29 wrote: Thu Sep 02, 2021 11:18 am Some of the mobile Hotspots will. Generally a TS-9 connector for Netgear offerings.

Re: I don't know what to buy anymore
I think the modem in the x750v2 is a Quectel EC25-AF. The modem name in the web gui is EC25AFFAR07A08M4G. And the x750v2 is the one they advertise as "ATT certified".

I don't know what to buy anymore
My first dive into cellular internet has been a complete failure: a gl-inet x750 which won't work with att or verizon. I starting to think I will have to return everything and start over.
Judging from recent posts here and elsewhere, I am at a complete loss as to what actually works anymore. Has ...

Re: Gl-X750v2 only connects at 3G with AT&T prepaid plan
I know one AT&T MVNO that works: Tracfone. If only they sold decent data plans....
As for the "unlimited" reselles, I agree that it is a gamble; it all depends on what they are really selling. I could give verizon a try, but there are so few options there, and they are all more expensive.

Is there anything on that list that will accept external antennas?

Re: Gl-X750v2 only connects at 3G with AT&T prepaid plan
thanks. your reply does help.
It looks like I have to use a non-AT&T plan if I want to keep this device. I was hoping to avoid the shady reseller market.
Does anyone have any recommendions on a plan that currently works with the x750? AT&T and Verizon are the only carriers I get here.

Re: Gl-X750v2 only connects at 3G with AT&T prepaid plan
To be blunt, I don't have the money to experiment with different data plans hoping to find a compatible one. I need something that I know will work. I thought a straight no-nonsense data plan directly from AT&T would be the safest option to start out with. I was wrong.

Re: Gl-X750v2 only connects at 3G with AT&T prepaid plan
I've started looking for a new device and I'm wondering if this problem is with the manufacturer of the device or the modem. My concern is if I buy another device that happens to use the same modem (Quectel EC25 variant) I will end up with the same problem. Is this a realistic concern, or are these ...

Re: Gl-X750v2 only connects at 3G with AT&T prepaid plan
Oh crap....
What is really weird is that I can get 4G in the x750 if I use my phone's sim card which is a trafcone plan.
So do I stick with the x750 and try verizon or a shady att reseller, or return this for something else?

Re: Gl-X750v2 only connects at 3G with AT&T prepaid plan
That tmobile plan is not available at my location.
Anyway, the manufacturer claims that X750v2 is AT&T compatible. This is what I bought:

Gl-X750v2 only connects at 3G with AT&T prepaid plan
I recently bought a X750 and an AT&T 100GB/$55 prepaid plan, and I cannot get it to connect at 4G. It only connects at 3G. However, if I take the sim card out of my phone and put it into the X750, I get a 4G connection. So it is not the hardware or a lack of signal.

Advice needed for AT&T 100GB/$55 prepaid plan
I'm a total cellular noob trying to setup internet for my home network. It looks like the new 100GB for $55 prepaid AT&T plan looks like the best option for me unless I go with a shady reseller (are there are any truly legit resellers offering 300GB plans?). I know I can get AT&T here; verizon may ...
