Re: Mofi 4500 being throttled on Visible?
perhaps visible is just having issues? Employees or hardware or something...stupid covid. tonight, while at my parents house after work, I ran another speed test fully expecting to see 5 mb up and down. But tonight it was 3 mb down pretty consistent yet it was uploading at about 40 mb. I ran the ...

Re: Mofi 4500 being throttled on Visible?
I have the ISP TTL setting set for the linux-2 65 option in the Mofi, thats what it defaults to when I select visible as a carrier. IPv6 on the mofi I have disabled, not sure if that matters or not.
on my computer I have ran/set both IPv4 and IPv6 with these:
netsh int ipv4 set glob ...

Re: Mofi 4500 being throttled on Visible?
Agreed, Visible must be doing something else. constantly throttled to 5mb up/down. So far the only times I can get around this is to put the sim back in the phone and then spend the next 30 to 40 minutes with the online chat support until the actually "reprovision", or whatever they call it, the ...

Re: Mofi4500-Sim7 + Quectel EM12-G CAT12
hmm... it is sounding more and more like I just need to bite-the-bullet and try to build a router / modem combo on my own and figure out how to flash and set it up. curiosity is starting to get the better of me, if for no other reason than just to compare them. I keep seeing people talk about ...

Re: Mofi4500-Sim7 + Quectel EM12-G CAT12
Carrier is visible wireless in the mofi.
the cell tower just on the other side of the woods is Verizon.
Band on Mofi is B4 (channel locked). This morning, for the first time in a long time, download speeds via mofi are horrible. like 2m down and sometimes as slow as .5 u.

Re: Next step: MIMO or bigger yagi?
I know for me, there is/was a HUGE difference between channel locking on a 10MHz band that has beautiful signal strength for me and channel locking onto a 20MHz channel that really only seems to ever have two bars. the 20MHz channel with supposedly less signal stomps the crap out of the 10Mhz band ...

Re: Mofi4500-Sim7 + Quectel EM12-G CAT12
yeah, I do enjoy the simplicity of the gui/bios and not requiring putty or other such connection software to then setup via just command line.

Mofi4500-Sim7 + Quectel EM12-G CAT12
Good morning everyone. Please forgive me if this question has already been asked and I just haven't found that thread yet.
I currently have a Mofi4500-Sim7 and whatever Cat4 modem comes within that. I was curious, can you actually switch the lte cards out of Mofi4500 and still have the Mofi work ...

Re: Question about Visible
myself, also once, got a hold of visible via their online chat when I was only getting 5 up and about 5 down. they walked me through all kinds of "shut this down", "turn that on", "reboot that", "lets re-provision your sim", and stuff like that. For me, the one step that worked was when they had me ...

Re: Question about Visible
So...question then. when I started looking around last year concerning lte / cell phone internet, the one thing that stuck out to me (even those on Wireless Joint forums) where the amount of people that were able to get better, faster, and cheaper routers when compared to the mofi's. But, it seemed ...

Re: Visible Wireless Sim work??
Has anyone got visible to work with a MOFI4500 v3 with a Quectel Ec25-af?
If so what commands worked?
I can use putty to get in.
I have currently, and successfully, setup a mofi4500-Sim7 v3 at my parents house and at my sisters house. I have no idea what actual modem is inside it though; so no ...

Re: Question about Visible
I've been using Visible wireless and a mofi 4500 sim7 at my parents house since October 2020 for their main internet. they previously had dial up (56k) modem access until the local company dropped them because only 3 other people in their entire service area had dial up and it wasn't worth the ...
