I did try the link. I also switched the modem ports to ttyUSB2. And nothing seemed to happen. but on the debug information window in the modem section is no longer showing time out error.
Is there anyway I can issue AT commands through PUTTY?

I bought the wg1608 with open wrt installed on it, and I'm using the EM7565 modem. I got it set up, and worked fine, but when I tried to switch from mbim ot qmi mode.
