For everyone else's knowledge, since my original post above, I successfully loaded GoldenOrb 2017-12-15 on to the router and it works fine with the MC7455 modem.

jfrog, did you get the list of gpio lines by using this command? echo N > /sys/class/gpio/export I ordered a WE826 and should be receiving it soon.
