Simple Mobile sim kit and old iphone TFW Verizon not T-Mobile
Greetings, Having been encouraged several times to try out T-Mobile, and not finding an actual T-Mobile sim kit locally, I grabbed a green simple mobile kit and matching $25 plan. I was surprised when I put it in my old iphone6, that it comes up with TFW. Worse, I seem to be trottled to 128K or some ...

Re: OpenWRT vs GoldenOrb
I have used openwrt for a long time but am also just getting started with LTE and GoldenOrb. My take is if you just want to tether a phone, openwrt is fine -- works for me. But if you want to connect an LTE modem directly (instead of a phone), the GoldenOrb has more extensive support for various LTE ...

Re: Since ATT/Cricket have purged their IMEI database, can you check?
Sadly my EC25 from The Wireless Haven is now showing as incompatible at cricket.
But when I purchased it late last year, I chose cricket since at that time, the EC25 was compatible with cricket, but incompatible with verizon.
For various reasons i haven't actually used my router/ec25 recently ...

Re: Cricket Simply Data Plan with LTE Router
Greetings,
I had this setup working previously, but lately I can't get connected to cricket, and after reading above posts, I re-checked my EC25AF and now cricket says is not compatible??
How I can tell if the issue is cricket, or some software or hardware problem on my end? The usb enclosure and ...

Re: Cricket rejected my MOFI 4500
I bought, from The Wireless Haven, the external usb enclosure and the quectel EC25. Typing its number into Crickets boyd compatibilty web page said it was compatible, so I bought the universal cricket sim card at local Walmart store. I then called the cricket phone number and (based on helpful ...

Re: Cricket Simply Data Plan with LTE Router
I installed GO firmware (gl-ar750s-GO2020-03-01.zip) on a gl inet 'slate' and used the The Wireless Haven external pcie / usb adapter and EC25-AF also from The Wireless Haven. I think everything is working but I am not sure which bands are available and what the various GO info screens about bands ...

Re: add lte router to existing verizon plan, or something else
thanks for all of the great info -- after further study, I've ordered the external usb-pci.e enclosure and the EC25AF. I already have a few routers running openwrt that are on the GO firmware list.

Re: add lte router to existing verizon plan, or something else
It is good to hear success story about EP06A and ATT
But I noticed the EM06-A -- is it an improvement over the EP0A? And what about power/current for each? Is a hefty power supply recommended? thank you.

Re: add lte router to existing verizon plan, or something else
I think I will go with the NEXQ6GO-U and the EP06A modem. And try Cricket, and if that doesnt work out, try adding the router to my existing verizon plan.
I dont know if they would be willing to install the modem and snap in those antennas, but it sure would be great.

About the Cricket -- I presume a modem from Fixlte would be compatible, such as a sierra wireless or quectel.
thanks.
thanks.

Re: add lte router to existing verizon plan, or something else
Thank you for your help.
My use case is for a cabin, sort of a 2nd home office these days. I would like a permanent solution, that I can attach alarm system, etc. I think my data usage may only be 100 Mbytes per day or so -- I am still collecting/monitoring my usage.

add lte router to existing verizon plan, or something else
Greetings,
I want an lte router instead of using my iphone as a hotspot. i have an existing verizon plan, and i presumed i could simply add the new lte router to my existing plan, (one from The Wireless Haven instead of a jetpack).
But after reading here, I am wondering if I will have trouble with ...
