Mystery solved. I had connected new antennas but didn't think they were the issue as I tried them on my other netgear lte modem and they worked fine (well speed did not improve but they worked). Completed the firmware upgrade via reset, then again via gui, no change. Still says no modem present. Debug info still does not show the modem.

Apparently you have to unzip and use the bin file. Upgrading now.

What size is this router? 4, 8, or 16meg? I tried the Wifix custom GoldenOrb but the checksum failed.

That is the bottom of the debug info. I am a Verizon Wireless customer using a Verizon mobile hotspot sim. So far it's worked but not great speeds. Will try your other suggestions and report back.

I'm having an issue with my WE826. I have a Quectel EP06-A modem but it is no longer showing up under Modem Debug Information. I tried resetting the modem but that changed nothing. I tried resetting the default settings via System > Backup / Flash Firmware > Restore > Perform Reset. That too changed ...

If others land here with a WE826GO running a Quectel EP06-A modem trying to get this combination running for the first time, the first part of this thread did the trick for me.
