7 month follow-up. My setup has been running great since my last post 7 months ago. I still have not updated the firmware. I have only had to re-boot and run the AT command in previous post maybe 3 times in 7 months. Not sure why, but it was not because of zoom.
Just wanted to give a big THANK YOU ...

Re: NEQ6GO wierd loss of internet
Just wanted to post an update since it's been a while. My system has been up and running great since my last post above where I put it in MBIM mode, and used "AT+CGDCONT=1,"IPV4V6","ims";+CFUN=0;+CFUN=1" to get it to connect.

Re: NEQ6GO wierd loss of internet
I have not flashed the firmware of the modem yet. I have to do that with a USB adapter, right? I bought one but haven't done it yet. It's running in MBIM mode, even though it can't run the "deactivate" command. Honestly, it's running great right now. It has not had a single hiccup in the 2 weeks it ...

Re: NEQ6GO wierd loss of internet
There seems to be something wrong with your modem (error on AT+QMBNCFG?)
Please run these commands to get the hardware info, then copy and paste the output here.
The first "AT" by itself is just to clear the buffer.

AT+QMBNCFG

AT+CGSN < You may block out the last 4 digits

Re: NEQ6GO wierd loss of internet
Try these commands, I just tested it on an EM12.
They are combined, copy and paste them exactly like this:
AT+CGDCONT=1;+CGDCONT=2;+CGDCONT=3;+CGDCONT=4;+CGDCONT=5
AT+QMBNCFG="AutoSel",0;+QMBNCFG="Deactivate";+QMBNCFG="Select","ROW_Commercial"

Re: NEQ6GO wierd loss of internet
To solve the "Deactivate"/MBN issue, first power off the router, remove the sim card, power it on, wait at least 5 minutes to boot up fully, then send these AT-commands via Modem > Miscellaneous:
AT+QPRTPARA=3
wait at least 5 seconds then
AT+QPRTPARA=1

Re: Looking to improve signal
I've only tried Verizon. I use the antenna with a NEXQ6GO router, Quectel EM12-G modem, the modem adapter and pigtails, and upgraded power supply...all from The Wireless Haven except the antenna, tablet plan sim card. The antenna did improve my signal/speed and gives me the ability to point to a ...

Just to give an update. I was provided a firmware update over on the whirlpool forum. We still cannot get the AT+QMBNCFG="Deactivate" command to work. It times out. They were trying to get me into ECM mode, but it would never connect. Maybe due to the Deactivate not working? So AT+QMBNCFG="List ...

NEQ6GO wierd loss of internet
I have the NEXQ60, Quectel EM12 modem, the upgraded power adapter, using a 2X MIMO Panel antenna. Verizon post paid iPad plan. The issue I am having is a loss of internet, but only when I'm on a zoom session. (laptop connected via wifi). It will run for weeks with no problem, multiple devices ...

Re: Looking to improve signal
Just a post to give an update as to where I am on this journey. I've learned that if I combine bands (like 4 and 5), and get carrier aggregation, the thing disconnects more often. I don't know if it's a heat thing or voltage thing with my setup or what. I've also learned that tower congestion has so ...

Thanks, that's a great idea that I want to try. I have a couple of routers...a Linksys WRT and an Engenius access point/bridge. Just a follow-up. Panel antenna has helped a lot! Still see some congestion in the evenings, but mostly usable. Using the stock antennas on the router for now. The external one should be here tomorrow. I drove around and laid eyes on a couple more towers. So I will have a few options to point the new antenna to.

Re: Looking to improve signal
The hotspot is a Novatel 7730L. Looks like it's CAT 9, 3x carrier aggregation. The EM12 in my router is CAT 12, 3x carrier aggregation. Should be pretty comparable, right?

Re: Looking to improve signal
Here's a comparison. It's 9pm on 10/16. The NEXQ6GO (using unlimited plan data, not hotspot data) and the VZW hotspot are both using band 4. But the hotspot is getting much better download speeds. I do see that the speedtest connected to different servers. Why doesn't the router do as well? Is it a ...

Looking to improve signal
I'm using a NEQ6GO with an EM12, stock antennas. The closest verizon tower is 1.7 miles away. Pretty close. But I have a hill and trees directly behind my house in line with the tower. I don't think I can get line of sight even with a pole, but I should be able to get better, right? The screenshot ...

Just an update. I moved the router to a different location. Had to unplug it. When it came back up, it would not connect. I deleted the APN in the connection profile, power cycled it. Then re-entered the APN and power cycled again. Then it connected.

Re: nexq6go - can't connect
Clear out your APNs again, delete your APN under ModemConnection Profile, and try AT+QCFG=”usbnet”,1 (ECM mode) for giggles. Then power cycle the router and then enter the APN into connection profile again then power cycle again.
Well, that did something!
The ECM mode command gave an error ...

Re: nexq6go - can't connect
So I'm guessing we are getting to the same point with both methods (MBIM or QMI). The network is not accepting the connection either method. Should I pursue TTL settings or is it still premature for that?

Re: nexq6go - can't connect
Change the modem back to QMI mode. It may be an issue with MBIM mode on your network.
AT+QCFG="usbnet",0
then
AT+CFUN=1,1
Ok...did this. Looks like it's getting further. Now we may be at a provider issue?

I can't seem to find the firmware (any version) for the NEXQ6GO. It's not listed on either of the firmware locations mentioned here: https://thewirelesshaven.com/wifix-router-firmware/
I guess I have to ask someone from The Wireless Haven to provide it to me?

Firmware Version GoldenOrb_2020-04-04. It was preloaded. I generated an archive (backup) as soon as I got the thing.
After a couple of days of messing with settings I did a "perform reset", and I've restored my backup. But I have not flashed a new firmware image.

nexq6go - can't connect
Hi. Just bought the nexq6go-u, Quectel EM12-G, the adapter, antenna pigtail adapters, and the good power supply. Using stock antennas for now. I use Verizon, and have a postpaid data plan on an iPad. I get 2 bars LTE on the iPad and usable internet. I want to use that sim in the router.
