Re: EM7565 speed issues on Sprint
Both of the modems are operating with the same bands, and the same upload/download channels. I had them both locked to Band 41, and both had CA active as well. Which is why it's strange... the 7455 would operate at full speed, and the 7565 wouldn't. Yet later the 7565 would be fine as well, which ...

EM7565 speed issues on Sprint
Hello! Recently I have been having some strange issues with my EM7565. At certain times of the day, usually in the very early morning, and again around 9 to midnight, speeds and latency will drop massively. I will normally get download speeds of around 80Mbps, but it will drop to around about 2Mbps ...

Re: Sprint and EM7455 - solution to disconnects?
@Mchccjg12, do you notice the EM7565 is markedly better than the 7455? Is there any modem out there that doesn't have this problem with Sprint that we could use in a similar way? The EM7565 is definitely leagues better than the 7455. It disconnects far less, and is much more stable, though the lack ...

Re: Sprint and EM7455 - solution to disconnects?
Yeah, pretty much. I think it also has to do with a ton of issues inherent with their towers too. As I will even get disconnects on my EM7565. I think it drops the connection to one part of the tower, and the modem tries to connect to another channel, causing the disconnect. Other modems probably ...

Re: Sprint and EM7455 - solution to disconnects?
From what I can tell, it's an issue on Sprint's end with the way their terrible equipment works. Even with the EM7565, it will disconnect upon changing bands or cells because it will change IP every time. I am pretty sure it works with other carriers because they handle it better on the network end.

Re: Modem Disconnecting
Sorry it took so long to reply! I've been a bit busy lately. Anyways, I have found some interesting stuff by really scrutinizing the logs. So, it seems recently the IP address started to change after the modem gets disconnected from the network... for example: While the network is connected and ...

Re: Modem Disconnecting
So, I called Sprint tech support to try to solve the disconnect issue with the MC7455, and take this with a grain of salt, as it's possible that it is false. But, I was told that they have made recent changes to the network to further disallow devices like the MC7455 to work. Basically, it will boot ...

Re: Modem Disconnecting
Ok, seems that even after all of that, it is still disconnect, now every 5 seconds. Looking at the debug to try to figure things out, I noticed a few things. Usually EMM state reads: EMM state: Registered Normal Service but before RRC does this and cuts the internet connection: EMM state: SR ...

Re: Modem Disconnecting
Thank you for responding! I'll be updating the firmware soon then. Also, after a peek through the release notes, I found something that I think would be a fix for it as well: MC7455 resets periodically on Sprint network - Crash 3 Which is a fix related to RRC. Which, I had noticed, had issues on the ...

Re: Modem Disconnecting
I'll try that shortly and report back, I didn't notice that a new generic firmware was released. Have you updated yours to the new firmware? I would like to make sure it works just in case there are issues, as I don't have a backup of the previous firmware version to revert to. Thank you! PS. I'll ...

Re: Modem Disconnecting
I've had similar issues with Sprint. My modem will disconnect pretty often, sometimes every 10 minutes, sometimes ever couple of hours. I have my MC7455 in an enclosure hooked up to a Raspberry Pi 2 B+ running Goldenorb. EDIT: I have noticed something though, and it seems to be that most people with ...
