As far as wifi it has always all worked just at a subpar level. Even the cheap archer i use was a drastic improvement in both performance and signal strength.

May not help at all but my initial thoughts on reading this was change your DNS on the main router and usually there is a setting to force all devices use that DNS.
I would test with 1.1.1.1
or
8.8.8.8
Hopefully its that simple.

Its not just about being de-prioritized it is also about server utilization. Sounds like at 1am there is low utilization and when you last tested there were many more people utilizing the server.

You can spend a lot of money and likely do no better and perhaps not as good then your Comcast setup. I got into cellular internet because there was only Dialup and sat internet available to me where I live. If cable Internet was available I would never have gone through all the other hoops.

The main issue is that rg6 and rg58 have huge signal loss compared to lmr400. In a worst case scenerio based on the linked calculator @100 foot cable length:

All of your above research is correct, though we do not talk details about changing imei in here as TECHNICALLY its illegal to be doing that. From my limited knowledge you will need to reseach the exact At command on your own but the quectel modems are the easiest to do this on while the sierra ...

VPN's are complicated, in theory it hides everything from your carrier, but the carrier still has the ability to tell how much data is being used and I believe they can also tell the TYPE of data. They cannot see the details of the data as its encrypted, however, your vpn provider CAN see everything ...

Ok next step is like myself and @Didneywhorl suggested a FULL factory reset, Meaning it wil remove ALL settings and after you will need to add them back in manually. Well, the answer appears to be no. I noticed my internet was slower than usual, checked and found that the modem had selected B13, occasionally aggregating with B4, but definitely using B13 as primary. Sent AT command to lock onto B4 and got back my high speeds...

Re: NEXR5GO Router and EP06-A Modem
what we are going to do is have the router itself run the vpn so once this is all done the router will be running the vpn and thus all devices using the router for imnternet will be using the vpn.
You computer will no longer need to run the vpn software at least when its on the wifi of your router.
