TP Link Router Question
I am planning to purchase a TP-Link AC 1750 router to use as AP because the wifi on my ZBT WG1608 sucks. The instructions for the TP Link state the following in one of the steps:
“You’ll want to change the LAN IP address of the TP-Link router to the IP address on the same segment of your primary ...

Re: ZBT WG1608 and rooter project/GoldenOrb_2021-02-09 and 5ghz wifi network
It can be used either way. I would disable dhcp (static IP set first on the interfaces) and wifi radios on the wg1608 and then just plug into the main VILO. BUT you can just plug it in and let it configure o nits own, they are vey plug and play with their simple app. I don't like Apps for wifi ...

Re: ZBT WG1608 and rooter project/GoldenOrb_2021-02-09 and 5ghz wifi network
Thank you for the suggestion. It seems like a pretty solid system. Would this be plug and play where I just connect it to one of my zbt wg1608 ethernet' ports? Or, would I still have to go into the settings in the zbt and make changes like disabling wifi and dhcp on the zbt and setting ip addresses ...

Re: ZBT WG1608 and rooter project/GoldenOrb_2021-02-09 and 5ghz wifi network
Reviving this thread. I did send a pm to Adm1jtg but not sure if I did it right. I have a zbt wg1608 and it is great. The only problem is the wifi is weak. I would like to purchase a wifi router (any suggestions on which to buy up to 100.00) and make it my "dedicated router." Would this be terribly ...

Re: If you had to buy not build?
Matt, thanks for the reply. Actually, it is not a phone plan. It is an unlimited tablet plan. Signal in my rural area is pretty decent but I reached out to the fine folks at wireless haven and they have suggested two different outdoor antennas which I intend to purchase. I would like to ask the ...

Re: If you had to buy not build?
Ok, so just hypothetically, let's say you didn't like the modem in there. What modem would be optimal to switch out to and that would fit in this model? Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Re: If you had to buy not build?
Sorry for late response. ZBT WG1608 16M. Pretty solid router, I just thought that maybe there is one that will consistently be 40 Mbps.

If you had to buy not build?
Hello all! I am more of a lurker. I try to learn but all this seems too complicated. So, please forgive my ignorance. If you had to buy a router for ATT unlimited, what router would you buy for optimal performance? I am in somewhat of a rural area but the current router I have does between 21-40 ...

Guys hope everyone has a happy and safe Easter.
I just got back from visiting my Sprint tower. It is only 2.5 miles away. Near the sprint tower I get 65Mbps. That is awesome! Problem is, at home I get 1-2 Mbps. I have a Sprint mifi 8000. I have searched on here to see if I could find a solid ...

Sprint and Mofi 4500?
Hey guys, I am new here but been reading the past week. I have a problem and need some expert advice. I have a Sprint unlimited plan that a friend got for me through a company called pcsforpeople. I make the payments and use this internet. The hotspot they sent him was a coolpad surf with a sim card ...
