Re: STILL being throttled by Tmobile
TTL is used to mask hotspot use. If for some reason they are seeing hotspot data and you have used your limit of hotspot data, your done for that billing cycle and there is no resetting to get speeds back. The fact that you can reset the modem and get speeds back makes me think it is something ...

STILL being throttled by Tmobile
Hoping to get some kind input regarding my maddening situation. I am currently on the Tmobile magenta max phone plan and am being throttled to 5bps. Each night I'll tweak TTL and VPN settings and restart my modem and will see 20-30mbps download speeds :D . Then I'll go to sleep satisfied with my ...

@chumbie - Thank you very much for this detailed write-up! I have a similar setup and it was extremely helpful while working through my own interface/ttl issues. Great post!

Re: I want more speed!
Same here. Band 13 is strongest but band 4 is much better speeds (less congestion I guess). So trying to find antenna setup to maximize band 4 signal strength and quality. I have one parabolic and two log periodic antennas (I think all the same from John Barth’s video), trying out different ...

Re: I want more speed!
Anything will be better than your paddle antenna as a secondary haha. But, really the secondary is just that, secondary. It matters, but a lot less once you have the grid (as your primary) pointed at the tower. Speaking of the panel antennas with two inside, I assume you're speaking of one like ...

Re: Unable to switch bands on EP06-A
Well When you get that WCDMA means you are not connected "I BELIEVE" . Think you are not getting these bands at all no connection to them.
How do you know all these bands are available?
cellmapper.net says the tower has bands 12,66, and 71, but just to be sure I tried the others as well. Any ...

Re: Unable to switch bands on EP06-A
Thanks gscheb. Good to know it isn't just me who has to restart when switching bands.
Any ideas on why I can't pick up LTE on any bands other than 12?

Unable to switch bands on EP06-A
I have an EP06-A in a WE826 router. I use T-Mobile, and have a tower that is 4 miles away. I am only getting about 5 Mbps download speeds using band 12. I have tried switching to bands 2, 4, 5, 66, and 77. Bands 4, 66, and 71 connect, but only on WCDMA. Bands 2 and 5 will not connect.
I have ...

Re: Any way to get better speeds with my set up?
The EP06 is on a WE826 router. Got 15 feet of lmr400 cables going to it. The router is mounted in the attic of the house.
How is the lmr hooked to the nighthawk?
I was looking at that router and it appears to be pretty hard to come by at the moment. Dang it; guess I'll just have to wait, but ...

Re: Any way to get better speeds with my set up?
I not locked to band 2 it just automatically goes to it. Took allot of effort to find that spot for it to do that.
Only have and 2 & 12 can connect too with this modem.
Don't want to do a splitter. Best to have two wires ran separate. That is what Mimo is.
I have used proxicast Mimo then Log ...

Re: Any way to get better speeds with my set up?
I use TMobile with a Quectel EP06 and flat antennas Mimo. Use TTL of 64. Band 2 primary CA with 12. Signal like -105. Get 25 to 65 down.. About 4.6 miles from the tower.
On that feed horn on that antenna do you need to adjust it to get different bands?
Band 12 is a slow band
Low frequency and ...

Re: Any way to get better speeds with my set up?
I tried switching to the second antenna port on my nighthawk router and it was much worse. The signal was bouncing all over the place and dropping, and download fell to below 1 Mbpsgscheb wrote: Sat Jun 13, 2020 1:15 pm Definitely not getting Mimo like that. Did you try different antenna port?

Any way to get better speeds with my set up?
Hi all. New user here; hope I can get some help. I was recently deactivated from the AT&T unlimited tablet plan for putting my SIM card in a router, so I have had to switch to the T-Mobile magenta plan. The problem is where I live T-Mobile's service is spotty at best, so I went out and bought a grid ...
