WE826-T2 flashed and working, can I get help on performance tuning
After a slow start I have my WE826-T2 flashed and working. It is running Golden Orb with a Quectel and talking to ATT. I ultimately have plans to change to Verizon, but have not had a chance to activate service with them. I belkive ATT is aaccceptable for the time being, but there are more Verizon ...

WE-826 T2 managed new firmware but still not understanding
I have the WE-826 T2 from KuWifi, and after a bit of struggle I managed to get installed through the boot kidder a new firmware. I was a little confused with the different sizes and guessed at 16MB of the following version: Powered by LuCI openwrt-19.07 branch (git-20.341.57626-51f55b5) / OpenWrt 19 ...

Re: WE826 and issues with factory firmware
I would be willing to bet it is not bricked. What makes you suspect it is? If you places that sell these in the United States on ebay. Support in China with a WE826T2 is absolutely abysmal. It’s comical it’s so bad. I have an open SS HD port on the thing with a hard to put a password in the config fi ...

Re: WE826-T2 Kuwfi OEM firmware to GoldenOrb - about to replace firmware
I am not sure if you are attempting to do a router firmware flash while balancing precariously in the air but if so I would advise against it. It would be better that you have the router on a table or bench in front of you. You also should have a computer or laptop with an ethernet connection to ...

WE826-T2 Kuwfi OEM firmware to GoldenOrb - about to replace firmware
Hello, I have WE836-T2 with the Quectel EP06 Modem currently connecting to AT&T soon to be changed to Verizon. The firmware is the factory OEM firmware as sold to me by Kuwfi. I am told by support at Kuwfi my firmware is upgradeable to one newer version but that it shouldn’t make much difference. I h ...

Re: WE826 and issues with factory firmware
Did you ever get this modem + firmware working out of the box? I also just received a WE826 with that software, and hit the same issues with AT&T that you did. any solution? Sort of. I think I must have more than a month into this. The manufacturer will only take a return if the kidneys broken ...

Re: Firmware and living a little wild
The Chromebook has usb but I hate the Chromebook for the hardware and find the trackpad so non-useable I’ll be getting a MacBook like I’m used to. The Chromebook cane about because of the pandemic. My laptop was stolen. I was ordering a replacement in a few days. I find myself in a WalMart listening ...

I’m done pulling my Gary out with a firmware base by a company that sees nothing wrong with telnet root access being open. I have WRE826-T2 and want to install GO over this factory firmware. I only have the router and a mobile iPhone and just squired a chrome book. What none of these things has is a ...

Re: WE826 and issues with factory firmware
I have wanted to but I need something and no one knows when this site will be back up so I can order. Is the hardware that borked? I mean yes we all know WiFi is junk and I suppose for $30 or so I can replace the case. Is there anything I need to know about the modem I use now? I’ll keep the modem. ...

Re: WE826 and issues with factory firmware
I emailed support, it’s KUWFI, I typed it Incorrectly in my initial post. Among many questions one was two part, what us the reason there is an sshd listening on 2222, as well as a cloud gateway that is preconfigured to log into this router from the public outside IP space. It’s enabled, and a pas ...

WE826-T2 am I stuck without internet for weeks
I ordered WE826-T2 from KuWfi and can’t get it to work for the life of me. Support from KuWfi is not naming me very happy. Device arrived with some custom firmware that is limited. No log access. No AT commands. Constant reboots. I only have a cell phone to solve this. Am I stuck? The poor WiFi p ...

Re: Help with new setup on t-mobile. WE826 and EP06-A
I experianced a very similar thing yesterday. I am not using a Mofy but I am using the WE826 - T2 . I pulled the Sim card out of my iPhone 8 Plus and popped it into the LTE router. After a little bit of being cranky it managed to make a connection and get it self up and running I was only able to ...

Re: We826-T2 with Quactel EP06-A and GPS
After a little bit of research I have at least figured out why one would want to enable the GPS option. First one would be if you are deploying on a mobile vehicle or a fleet of mobile vehicles. This gives you the ability to track this single vehicle or the fleet through GPS and see what the driver ...

Re: We826-T2 with Quactel EP06-A and GPS
I know the MOFI has a 5 antennae version and the router I have is an exact inbred clone of the same aside from the screen print on the top side. I can’t see close enough on the MOFI to really get an idea how it was installed. Anyone know what firmware MOFI runs? What specifically does having a GPS e ...

We826-T2 with Quactel EP06-A and GPS
Hello, I have the WE826-T2 from KuWifi, the Cat 6 version with an Quactel EP06-A modem in it that come Saturday I should have up and running on AT&T’s network. The device shipped to me pre-installed of the modem and a WRT firmware that appears pretty well matured though there are two firmware u ...
