I was looking at this command: AT+QRSRP
But it doesn't seem to work with the EM06-A I have, I think maybe its not implemented for this modem.

Re: Verizon Post Paid Jetpack vs Tablet
So being on a hotspot plan there'd be no messing with the TTL to beat the throttling then? I can deal with that for now I guess.
For the Jetpack plan, you cannot bypass the data cap (and therefore throttling) via TTL settings. It is simply built into the plan that no matter the device or type ...

POE for Mofi?
To reduce my cable length, I’d like to connect outside antennas to Mofi sim7 housed in weather proof box on mast, and then run it to better router inside. Right now I’ve got about 20-30 ft of LMR 400 from antennas to Mofi inside through hole in the wall, and using Mofi we both modem and router.

Re: I want more speed!
Optymyze, thanks so much for linking the spreadsheet. I have a very similar setup (1 grid and 1 log periodic). I was wondering exactly how you cross-polarized. Is the grid antenna vertical, and the log periodic horizontal? Also, how far apart are the antennas? Thanks!
Same here. Band 13 is ...

Re: Connect mofi to booster amplifier?
A better solution is to use a high quality, high gain external antenna system without a booster, and/or upgrade the modem to a higher CAT#.

Re: Connect mofi to booster amplifier?
I tried this with my WeBoost a few weeks ago.
Thanks for sharing. Good to know it didn’t break anything. Interesting that the signal reading was better but no practical effect to speed. Maybe I’ll give it a shot. But I guess if it was a magic bullet, others would be doing it and writing about it ...

Connect mofi to booster amplifier?
I have a weak antenna signal. Two 10-15 dBi gain (which seems to me max gain available for 700 MHz range) yagi pointed toward the tower (about 5 miles away and entirely blocked by hills and trees) hooked up to the mofi 4500 gives signal strength reading RSRP -102 to -99 dBm (on good day)...

Re: MOFI - throttling and SIM question
While those online cell-mapper sites can give you a general idea about the signal, many times their data is lagging the current state of the towers, and carriers could be adding more towers/bands at any time which may not be reflected online. So, the easiest way to tell for sure whether you have a ...

Re: New to forum. Currently using a mofi4500
This is the exact situation I am in. I don't think we have much flexibility within the Mofi or Verizon... The $20/month price is what makes that setup so appealing. I've also hit the cap and tried to fiddle with settings to no avail. It's ultimately why I am looking to build my own setup and look ...

Re: New to forum. Currently using a mofi4500
I run Verizon SIM cards on an unlimited plan that has 15gb of hotspot data. As long as I have TTL set at 64 I haven’t had any issues throttling.
Hey there! I've got the same setup as you - pair of yagi antennas, mofi 4500, using Verizon. But I'm running into an issue using my Verizon sim card ...

Re: MOFI - throttling and SIM question
Yeah, no dice with sprint either I think. The sprint towers wouldn't seem to cover where I am looking at cellmapper. And when I ran a band scan using the mofi interface, it found band 13 (-99 dmb) and bands 12 and 4 (-113), which weren't sprint bands. The signal strength reading from band 2 wasn't ...

Re: MOFI - throttling and SIM question
Good to know about visible. I saw they had high latency but didn't know it may not work with mofi.
As for t-mobile, I don't think it'll work... Their site says I'm in their partner coverage area but cellmapper says they're not on the tower my antennas are pointed toward, but on band 2 on towers ...

Re: MOFI - throttling and SIM question
Yeah, video calls and WiFi calling, so high latency is no good. Tried satellite internet, high latency made those things impossible.

Re: MOFI - throttling and SIM question
My wife and I are trying to work from home and stream. No gaming. Would be fine with 5-10 mbps download speeds, just can’t do with 600 kbps throttling. I’m tempted to try putting my phone sim card back in the mofi but am worried about breaking the sim again and then having no internet (had to hook ...

Re: Advice for better setup?
Update: OMG I can’t believe I wasted a year with the booster! I positioned two yagi antennas 90 degrees to each other pointed toward the tower (though absolutely blocked by hills and forest) and connected both to the mofi 4500. We now have consistent and steady internet, no more devices competing ...

Re: What router should I get?
Thanks all for the advice! Yes, I’m seeing from my research that a router-to-antenna setup is probably better for internet than my current booster setup. I ended up ordering a mofi router and will see how it goes. My only worry is my signal from the antenna won’t be strong enough in the first place ...

What router should I get?
I live in rural area. Have Yagi outdoor 15 gain antenna pointed toward tower (blocked by hills, trees) five miles away. Get about 1 bar at corner of house where antenna is, band 13. No service anywhere else. Antenna picks up about -100 to -95 dBm max. With 100 gain booster, I can get about 4-8 mbps ...

Re: Advice for better setup?
Thanks for the info! I’ll check it out.
Will the router connected to the antenna work though if the signal from the antenna is relatively weak and low quality? My antenna now reads: Rsrp -97 dBm, rsrq -9 dB, sinr 10 dB.
Verizon is the only carrier that works reliably and well around me. So I’ll ...
