Re: Port Forwarding
Yes I second this. I’ve tried getting my Plex server to work but I’ve never found anything useful that works for establishing a static IP that I can remotely access the server back home. A guide would be nice or if someone knows of an existing guide elsewhere that would be helpful.

Re: Newbie needs help with MR5200
If you're able to get a FirstNet plan with unlimited data you're pretty blessed. I have a Nighthawk MR1100 and I hacked it to lock onto band 14 and I would get 40-45 Mbps down and about 12-20 Mbps up. I hooked up 2 Yagi antenna's to achieve that but I'm 3 miles from the tower with trees in the way ...

Re: Calyx Institute removing Sprint sims and getting no internet access using T-Mobile sims
Click on global Network options, the ipv6 prefix is there. If it is blank, you're good. If not, delete it and save. Imei = modem identity. If you are using fast.t-mobile.com as an APN you shouldn't need to do anything else other than make all of your AT+CGDCONT entries be IPV4 only AND set the ...

Re: Anyone transition AirMaster 4000D from Sprint to T-Mobile
This is my setup on the AirMaster before and after swapping the T-mobile SIM card. I only changed settings on one page: LTE -> Bearer Settings, see final image.

Re: Anyone transition AirMaster 4000D from Sprint to T-Mobile
Depends on what they ultimately decide to do with Band 41. I would certainly try it. I would follow this TUTORIAL in changing the APN to: fast.t-mobile.com Now that I write this, I seem to remember something about the AirMaster firmware not accepting a "-" in the APN. Just wanted to update for ...

Re: Mobile Citizen Hotspot Sucks (Help me build a better one)
**I already have a Sierra MC7455 so we can start there. You could install your cellular modem into a router enclosure such as this over at The Wireless Haven: https://thewirelesshaven.com/shop/routers/lte-routers/nexq6go/ . Then just connect it to a battery bank. There are tutorials on this forum ...

Re: Mobile Citizen Hotspot Sucks (Help me build a better one)
Taking a quick look at the Terms of Service over at Mobile Citizen I see this, Not that means that a different device might not work out for you. They may not enforce their terms. Just something to consider. As mobile devices go the Netgear Nighthawk MR1100 mobile hotspot is about as good as it ...

Re: Mobile Citizen Hotspot Sucks (Help me build a better one)
If you’re strictly wanting to have a mobile hotspot that has built-in battery than one option I can think of is the upgraded hotspot from Sprint called the MiFi 8000. Out of the box that will work with all of Sprint’s network. I have read good things about it. However I tried it at my house and cou ...

Re: AirMaster 4000D No Connection in confirmed B41 area
The airmaster, unfortunately Im generalizing and have zero experience with the airmasters firmware. Sorry. Hopefully our experienced peeps can chime in. I seem to have figured it out. When I looked on the back end of the AirMaster it was actually just dropping the signal constantly about every ...

Re: AirMaster 4000D No Connection in confirmed B41 area
Ok do I look on the system log of the airmaster, the router or the computer. And what am I looking for?Didneywhorl wrote: ↑Sat May 16, 2020 12:04 pm Might want to look through the system log.
Ill bet its an ipv6 issue
Is it possible to disable IPv6 and just use IPv4 on the AirMaster?
Thanks for any help, Silas.

Re: AirMaster 4000D No Connection in confirmed B41 area
Yea I’ve mapped it and looked at the topography and drive all the back roads to my house to see the layout myself and there’s no land mass in my way, just seems to be the trees which are 60-80 ft so a bit high to overcome. I’ve since mounted the AirMaster to my parents antenna tower and everything wa ...

Re: AirMaster 4000D No Connection in confirmed B41 area
Yes I unplug the Magic Box when testing the AirMaster. I do not have direct line of sight as there is a small patch of woods next to my house then lots of open field. I can test on the other side of trees about ½ mile closer to the tower and it gets 60 Mbps down on just the phone. I am about 4.8 ...

Re: AirMaster 4000D No Connection in confirmed B41 area
Ok so I tried the AirMaster at my parents house and it connected to the internet without a problem. It was basically plug and play with an average of 45-50 Mbps down and 6-8 Mbps up. So I tried it at my uncles house who is on same tower as my parents and it works there too (not as well though). Now ...

Re: AirMaster 4000D No Connection in confirmed B41 area
The airmaster can be little difficult at times to setup. I highly encourage you to look back completely through this thread and try each way to setup before giving up. There are a couple of different ways in this entire thread and one of them just might get yours working. I set one up other day and ...

Re: AirMaster 4000D No Connection in confirmed B41 area
Thanks for the reply. I didn’t know Calyx offered a quarterly plan. I’ll have to check that out. I bought a cheap Coolpad Surf and activated that with Sprint and have tried swapping the SIM into the AirMaster but it doesn’t attempt to connect. The Media State remains at Disconnected. I do have a dece ...

Re: AirMaster 4000D No Connection in confirmed B41 area
Well this is interesting -- since I had to guess at a few things while I was setting up I just was going through and changing some settings, and switched PLMN back to Mobile, and BINGO it connected right away. So in this case, I just had to enter the ND&S info and that was it. Speeds are still ...
