You're right that the vast majority could care less what their highest speed is as long as they can stream Netflix, etc.

Nice work on this. Band selection is indeed done based on signal, but they always try to push you to the higher frequency bands, as the lower frequency bands are more valuable due to range and penetration.

I'm tempted to try this setup my self, but I suspect my wife wouldn't be too happy about an ...

Well I can't verify exactly what the mf279 is doing because it only shows signal strength and 4g ...

That is darn good for 15MHz. You have to be pretty happy with that.

Previously I had satellite internet and with no other options you could say I'm pretty happy. Streamed a 4k movie the other day and it didn't buffer ...

@coldknob: Are you saying you are getting a peak of 85+ Mbps from a single carrier Band 2, 15 MHz wide?


With an ethernet connection I get 85+ with the mimo setup, 45 max with a single antenna connection. I'm on ATT, very rural, lightly used tower. Although the tower is 7 miles away I have clear ...
