Re: Surrounded by trees
None of the cellular home internet services are available here. I am interested in Starlink and have been following it closely for a long time, but they dont offer service here yet. I am too far south. Honestly, with the amount of trees on my property, I am doubtful that I could get a clear view of ...

Re: Surrounded by trees
Yep, they are in the direction of the tower. Inside the house (without the booster) you can only get a signal right by the window in the front of the house and right by the windows in the back of the house. So that actually makes sense now, because that is the only areas without close trees. We also ...

Re: Surrounded by trees
There are a couple close to the pole. Other than the house, a large driveway in front, and a small area in the back, our whole property is pretty much trees.

Surrounded by trees
I have been using a cell booster for about 2 years now, but its really slow (max about 5 Mbps and very inconsistent). I have 1 yagi antenna outside about 20 ft off the ground (nowhere near high enough to clear the trees) and im using AT&T's $75 unlimited plan through my phone. I don't have a huge ...

Signal Loss on Cables?
I am currently using a 75 ft RG 6 cable. According to https://www.wilsonamplifiers.com/blog/understanding-coaxial-cables-the-complete-guide/ I am losing 6.225 dB on 800 Mhz and 10.1125 dB on 1900 Mhz with this cable. According to the same page, switching to a 75 ft Wilson 400 cable would basically ...

Re: Seems like Visible is capping me.
Hey thanks for all the input. I am using a moto g7 power, which unless im mistaken, is cat 7 so pretty old. The bands are: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 17, 20, 25, 26, 29, 30, 38, 39, 40, 41, 41, 66, 71. So it looks like it supports the Verizon bands well. The only band that gives me usable ...

Seems like Visible is capping me.
I drove out to the tower I always use today (as was suggested by a nice fellow here) to test out the speeds. Here is what I got: https://www.speedtest.net/my-result/a/6035082761

Re: Any way to take advantage of 2 booster antennas?
I got my stuff ordered. Looking forward to setting it up. I am wondering (if anyone knows) what I could expect the difference in signal strength to be going from a booster to an LTE router using the same antennas. Does the booster actually boost the signal? Or do the antennas do all of the work and ...

Re: Any way to take advantage of 2 booster antennas?
The only bands I really get here are 5 and 13. So it seems like CA would be impossible with that modem out here. I should either look for one that would allow CA here or just get a cheaper one that doesn't even offer CA, but still offers MIMO right?

Re: Any way to take advantage of 2 booster antennas?
Oh, I was assuming CA is dependent on having multiple antennas. So if I use the CBA850LP6 with my 2 antennas, the modem gives me the possibility of using CA if the tower allows it, and the 2 antennas allow for increased performance at all times whether or not CA is active? Now what if I am locked to ...

Re: Any way to take advantage of 2 booster antennas?
I don't really see other setups utilizing a yagi with an omni for carrier aggregation in LTE routers. If this does indeed work, should both antennas be on the same pole? If so, how far apart? I could also do separate poles if needed.

Alright, ill probably try the CBA850LP6 and a wifi router then. Hope I get some improvement. Was topping out at 2 Mbps down this evening =(

Re: New to this stuff, have some questions
Alright, so now im looking at the Cradlepoint CBA850LP6 mentioned earlier. I would need a wifi router to connect to this one it seems. Since I wont likely be exceeding 15 Mbps on visible (from what ive read on the forums here). I could probably get away with something pretty cheap right? Im also ...

Re: New to this stuff, have some questions
I am thinking about getting the Cradlepoint MBR1400LPE and hooking it up to the 2 outdoor antennas I have now since I am on a pretty tight budget at the moment. What do you think about that?
Edit: Hmm, it looks like the MBR1400LPE wouldn't support carrier aggregation right? I would like to take ...

Re: Use WE826-T in RV or get new one?
I just bought the Cradlepoint MBR1400LPE V2 4G LTE Router (Multi-Carrier) - Verizon. Hoping to use the visible sim with it. Seems all the cheaper services are dropping, so that slaos a hard part for me. Finding a good cheap service.
Have you been able to test it out yet? I am thinking about ...

Re: New to this stuff, have some questions
Yeah I think im going to try router/modem solution. I would be shocked if it isn't any better than the booster. Even if its the same exact speeds, at least the modem will reach my entire house. The booster is only effective if you are within 9-15 feet of it. Its not good for phone calls at all. I ...

Any way to take advantage of 2 booster antennas?
I bought a surecall booster system about 16 months ago. It came with the outdoor omni directional antenna, but I later bought the yagi antenna. Is there a way I can use both of them? The booster only has 1 input. Also, I am now considering an LTE router. Could these booster antennas be used for one ...

I have definitely had the same experience with higher pings on visible. I dont think I have ever seen it under 100ms. I can't find anything similar for the price though.

Re: New to this stuff, have some questions
Thanks for the reply. I should have mentioned that my entire house is basically a deadzone without the booster, because we have a metal roof. The only spots you can get a signal without the booster is the very front of the house and the very back of the house, and that is if you are right at the ...

Oops, meant to put 1-6 Mbps (fixed now). I must have been daydreaming when I typed that. I would be thrilled to even have the 50 Mbps I had at the old place back.

New to this stuff, have some questions
I have seen this site linked a few times now for getting good cellular internet. I live out in the middle of nowhere and am currently using a fusion4home booster with their yagi external antenna and the omni directional antenna on the booster in the house. I am currently using visible and I usually ...
