Re: New Visible sim, “Connecting…”
So does this mean I will be unable to configure this setup and have a functional system?
Should I just cancel the Visible plan? If so, what other SIM plans do you suggest for my hardware and what is the monthly cost?

I was running an ATT business plan SIM in this device using Quectel EC25-AF with Goldenorb.
I want to convert this device to use my Visible data SIM from another project.
What instructions/commands do I need to follow to set up this EC25-AF modem with the Visible SIM?
thanks!

Just used the spreadsheet to program a group of bands, 2,4,5,13.
Speed test hardwired is 19Mb, wirless its 11Mb.
I guess I am happy with those speeds. Not watching 4k videos or anything. Should I be happy with them?

now that I have service, should I send any of the following commands?
The following commands associate verizon's/visible's bands with a name your MC7455 can use to pick specific bands to connect to. Visible uses verizon's 2, 4, 5, 13, and 66, but MC7455 doesn't support band 66.

I did forget APN and TTL. Thanks for reminder. I just updated those, cycled power and verified they were still in place. However, I still have no internet. Any ideas?

Re: assistance setting up we826/em7455 w Visible
So I ordered a ZTE Blade A3 phone and SIM from Visible. I activated the SIM in the ZTE and verified cellular data at 7Mb down.
Next I entered the following commands using the ROOter interface:
at!entercnd="A710"
at!usbcomp=1,1,1009
at+cgdcont=1,"IP","VSBLINTERNET"
at+cgdcont=1,"IPV4V6 ...

I did use the Visible online compatibility checker, I selected Android and entered the modem IMEI. It said not compatible.

disable wifi router on WE-826-T with Quectel EC25
I want to use my teknikal 9500V with my new Netgear Orbi (AC1200) mesh WiFi router system. What steps should I take to implement/use the Orbi WiFi mesh WiFi instead of the built in WiFi?

That makes sense. I will leave the bands alone. I just selected 4G only, that is acceptable is it not unless I move it to a location where 4G is non existent?

Re: need antenna recommendations for WE826 w Quectel EC25
Well the signal level right now where I am testing the router is full strength on my iphone7 (ATT) and 100% on the modem per the ROOter GUI. However, the job site signal strength will vary from site to site. One location could be only 1 of 4 bars on my iphone and another could be 4 of 4 bars. I ...

need antenna recommendations for WE826 w Quectel EC25
I am building a solar powered wifi camera system to monitor a residential construction site. I plan to locate the WE826 in the attic area. Would an upgrade to external antennas for ATT LTE signal show an increase in download/upload speeds? What is your recommendation for antenna type and necessary ...

Re: how to change cellular mode to 4G only
Quectel EC25
After going back and re-reading my post in the Tower forum, I noticed you suggested an AT command:
AT+QCFG="nwscanmode",3,1
Should I ignore the cellular mode field in my picture above and simply enter this command in the AT Command Terminal?

how to change cellular mode to 4G only
I am trying to change my cellular mode from Automatic to 4G Only. I have tried the "DISCONNECT CURRENT MODEM" button then I selected 4G Only at the Change Cellular Mode field, then selected "APPLY MODE CHANGE".

“Safe” 12VDC power for WE826
I plan on using my WE826 as part of a security camera system for a remote construction site. It will be powered by a 12V 55Ah GEL battery and solar panel.
My concern is the voltage range on this system ranges from 11.7 - 14.5 volts based on the charge profile.

Re: teach me how to find tower info/location using Router details
So when I logged into the router this evening, it appears it has switched towers. Also the Ookla speedtest results are significantly better. (from 12M down/1M up -to- 40M down/15M up on average):

Re: teach me how to find tower info/location using Router details
Thanks for your help!
I did the search on opencell and confirmed that based on 310/410/22981 that the tower is located in Hartselle, AL. The strange thing is that is ~18 miles away from the modem. That is not possible is it? Plus the modem is showing 100% signal strength?

New to the forum and DIY cellular modems/routers. I purchased a refurb teknikal 9500VA (WE-826-T w/ Quectel EC25 running GoldenOrb_2019-03-10) and configured it for use with the ATT $35 unlimited data SIM. I have the device working. Now I want to optimize it for my application and also learn how to ...
