Currently on sprint networks, once the sim is activated, you can swap it to another device. If you get caught by calyx though they will ban your service. If you need customer support ever, you' might need the original device provided to account.

Re: Need a viable high data plan on Verizon network for my MHS815L Jetpack
you might get lucky with verizons new $40 lte internet plan. They're currently rolling it out in limited markets. It's supposed to have a guaranteed speed and unlimited data. https://www.verizon.com/about/news/verizon-home-internet-rural-areas

Re: wg3526 external hard drive
How did you connect your hard drive? I've wanted to do this for awhile now but the sata connector is in an awkward position and I don't really want to drill a hole in the case.
Not really sure about the network shares with a roku as I don't have one to test it on.

Re: Losing constant Internet connection on Mofi 4500 (and my mind)
When I was using the mofi firmware my connection would constantly be spotty. Pretty sure it had something to do with tls security breaking. Last time I checked mofi firmware is built on barrier breaker which is deprecated and no longer supported or updated by official channels. Goldenorb, while not ...

Re: Deregistered status
I just flashed via bootloader method and it's still not connecting. I used VZWINTERNET with my old we826 router and it worked just fine.

Re: Deregistered status
I think the account is data only I've tried once before to use call and sms data from the old router and it didn't work. If I swap the sim into my current phone which is a verizon, will it prevent me from using the old sim once I swap it back? I'm currently paying off the phone so I don't own it yet.

Deregistered status
Recently I bought a wg3526 from The Wireless Haven and after transferring my sim from the we826 to the wg3526 I'm getting a deregistered status. I've contacted my data reseller and they've said that verizon checked the account and everything's fine.

Re: Installing a faster set up
Unfortunately no. There's a barely serviceable sprint network or verizon. I've switched my cell phone from sprint to verizon and am load balancing between plans.

Re: Carrier Aggregation Help
I've tried doing a speed test and gstatus at the same time, no dice. Is it possible that only band 13 is servicing this area?
Could I aggregate b13+b13?
Once I get the h721 I plan on using both my verizon and sprint sims together. That should help a bit.

No usb power on we826
my we826 was purchased as a mofi and after flashing from the latest goldenorb I can't seem to get power to the usb. Is there a script to enable it? It looks like all of the needed packages are installed.

Re: Installing a faster set up
Yes, I am on verizon, although my phone is on sprint so I am at a loss when it comes to the cell mapping apps. Sprint service is at best 2 bars of 3g, verizon is much more reliable for 4g out here in the mountains.

Installing a faster set up
I'm currently using a mofi sim4 flashed over to the we826 firmware with a MC7455 and it's working great. During off peak time hours I've hit a max of 40Mbps. The problem is during 4pm to 11pm weekdays and most of the weekends I'm seeing max speeds of 5Mbps, if I'm lucky, 7Mbps.

Re: Carrier Aggregation Help
The carrier aggregation shows active after I run these commands but I get no signal, that's what I meant by it not working. Without setting up a custom band my gstatus shows inactive aggregation.

Re: Sierra Wireless Modems - Programming Carrier Bands
On your spreadsheet it states that verizon doesn't use band 13. Also if I edit the short name for group it generates improper syntax under the "create group from individual bands" row. It looks correct on the spreadsheet but if I copy it out from the row it ends up looking like this
"AT!BAND=0F ...
