Re: ZBT-WE826, EM7565, and AT&T
I finally received the USB3.0 to M.2 (NGFF) Adapter with Side SIM Card Slot yesterday, and tried a few things with it. The first thing I noticed was that syslog on my linux systems indicated the modem was not booting without a SIM installed, so this now makes sense why I needed the SIM slot on the ...

Re: ZBT-WE826, EM7565, and AT&T
THANK YOU!
Oh my goodness I was running out of hair to pull out...
I've ordered the USB3.0 to M.2 (NGFF) Adapter with Side SIM Card Slot you linked, and hopefully will have better luck with the Linux methods to update this firmware once it arrives.
Did I mention I really appreciate your help with ...

Re: ZBT-WE826, EM7565, and AT&T
I'm having a devil of a time getting the modem to be recognized by a computer so I can update the firmware. I've tried Win10 on a Bootcamped iMac, Win10 in a VM on the iMac, Win7 in a VM on a MacBook Pro, Win10 on a dedicated Ryzen gaming machine, CentOS 7 on a VM, Ubuntu 18.04 on a VM on the iMac ...

ZBT-WE826, EM7565, and AT&T
I'm trying to move away from a MOFI setup on T-Mobile and onto a WE826/EM7565 setup on AT&T because it's going to be significantly less expensive month-to-month. However, I'm having trouble getting the WE826 online. The closest I can get is a status of 'Connecting.' ROOter v. GoldenOrb_2019-03-10 ...

Re: MOFI-4500 replacement question
Thank you Jim! I've ordered one of the Gb splitters, even though I know my current speeds will get nowhere close to that. This solves my backup power issue.
Now I need to figure out this intermittent drop issue...

MOFI-4500 replacement question
Greetings.
I switched from ADSL to a MOFI-4500 on T-Mobile's One plan (with a VPN) using two 6' Yagi antennas around the beginning of this year and have been pretty happy overall. However, within the past few months we've been seeing frequent (5 to 25X a day) brief disconnects. The MOFI isn't ...

Re: Is anyone using T-Mobile Rural with good results?
@Springer I'm also in MD, but closer to the PA line. We ditched ADSL earlier this year to go with a MOFI-4500* on T-Mobile's $75/month "unlimited" One plan. It's working OK for us. Where we were only getting 1.5 Mbps on the ADSL line, we're now getting 15-25 Mbps with two 6' Yagi antennas mounted on ...
